I think the groundhog was wearing this next scent when he came out of his hole a few weeks ago to  predict an early spring arrival! SAFFRON JAMES’ IPO Eau de Parfum ($85/9ml @ saffronjames.com) pays homage to the Pakalana flower (also called the Chinese Violet), which was introduced to Hawaii from southern China in the early 1800s. It also has notes of Moroccan rose, orange blossom, Tahitian gardenia and lemongrass. Very Springtime feeling … and smelling.

I was going to include this next one as one of the Spring Scent Picks 2010 feature but I really think this one deserves its own feature altogether. This SAFFRON JAMES Nani Eau de Parfum took a while to warm up on me. The first time I sprayed it on, I thought, no, this is so not me but I kept smelling my hand where I sprayed it and I know it’s onto something when that happens as it has only actually happened one other time and that one turned out to be a major frag in my life. This one is made up of Pĩkake flower from Hawaii (one of my favorite notes), Pink Plumeria, Mimosa, Lily, and Ylang Ylang and the scent lasts on the skin.
