When it comes to aging, how much do you pay attention to the backs of your hands? They can totally give away your age or look old before your time. I usually apply sunscreen or leftover sunscreen from my face on the backs of my hands almost every day but I do forget sometimes.

I have not seen many products made especially for this area until now. EXUVIANCE Age Reverse Hand Rejuvenator ($65 @ neostrata.com, ulta.com) is a two-product system – the peel and the cream. I’ve been testing it out since early February so let’s check it out.

My Take: Well as you can see from the below photos, there doesn’t seem to be much difference between the two. I swiped the Peel product with a cotton pad on the backs of my hands and then applied some of the Cream after every day for a solid 5 weeks. I feel like the skin on the back of my hands has not changed much at all. I’m surprised because of the ingredients it lists but this one is a big pass from me.

I’ve addressed the benefit of glycolic acid on this site before and believe in using them regularly on the skin to reap the long-term benefits of it. You can get it in many forms and NEOSTRATA has one in a face cleanser. Their Foaming Glycolic Wash ($32/3.4oz @ amazon.com) uses 18% strength, is pH balanced and also contains Lactobionic acid, which helps with wrinkles.

No matter what lotion or balm I use on my feel, my soles seem no better by the end of the day and there  I am, back at square one. What the dilly? I come across a lot of products made for night time but not often one for mornings. EXUVIANCE SunRise Bionic Tonic ($40/36 pads @ neostrata.com) under the NeoStrata umbrella contains a high level of polyhydroxy acids, which is molecularly larger than alpha-hydroxy acids and proven beneficial for those who are sensitive to AHAs. Each single-use pad really perks skin up using the above PHAs and cucumber, eucalyptus, vitamins A, C and E and green tea. So say good morning to your latest cup o’ joe for the face!

A good friend of mine has super oily skin and is always looking for a product to control it throughout the day so I gave her EXUVIANCE’s Sheer Refining Fluid SPF 15 ($32/1.75oz @ dermstore.com) to try out. I didn’t even have to bug her for her feedback as she came back to me after about 1 week of using it to give praise! Love that!

This contains the ingredient Phytotal, which is a botanical blend that not only controls the oil production throughout the day but claims to reduce excess oil over time. Hmmmm. I told her to get back to me on that one. It also contains a NeoGlucosamine, which works on discolorations on the skin and improves the tone and texture.
