I’ve been at a bit of a loss when it comes to keeping my brow hairs in place. I’ve been oscillating between a wax pencil from ASBH and something called Eye Brow Coat from Daiso. I have my father’s brows so crazy hairs that do their own thing sometimes so my brows getting “messy” is a thing.

I think most women who are into makeup do and it’s usually in the form of a pressed powder. Well that is all about to change. I really love these creamy liquid-to-powder glittery metallic shadows the brands have been coming out with lately. See here and here. The texture is stunning and they are really pigmented. These differ from just a straight glitter in that the glitter is suspended in a long lasting cream. Some are the same color of the glitter and some are not.

Have you heard of the COL-LAB makeup line yet? Pretty fascinating. It’s eight beauty influencers heading up the direction in their Color Lab in New York City: @makeupbyamarie, @xsparkage, @whatwouldlizzydo, @ravenelyse, @saammage, @claireashleybeauty, @wesleybenjamincarter, @sudanidoll. I seem to always have a suggestion on how a product can be make just a little bit better, so this is great! I mean, who knows makeup better? It’s seems like an obvious partnership.

So let’s look at their Matte Addiction Liquid Lip Color ($8.79 @ collabmakeup.com, $9.99 @ sallybeauty.com). These only take one swipe to cover the lips, they dry down all the way to a 100% non-transferable finish and surprisingly, the two darker shades performed better than the lightest one! For some reason, I usually have the opposite happen.

RIMMEL just came with another version of their liquid lipsticks. The Stay Satin Liquid Lip ($5.49 @ rimmellondon.com, walgreens.com, target.com) comes in 14 shades and dries down to a satin finish, or what I call, a semi-transferable finish. So these are more comfortable to wear but the down side is that they don’t have the longevity that a more matte version would. Comfort? Long-wearing? I usually take comfort over long-wearing unless there is some odd situation for why I need to have my lippie really stay put for a long time, whether it's uncomfortable or not which doesn't happen often.

I got about 7 hours of wear out of one and surprisingly, the darker two wore better than the lighter ones. Take A Chill Pill balled up on my lips L The wear of these really reminded me of ColourPop’s Ultra Satin Lip.

A liner is a liner is a liner, right? So not! If you love makeup like I do then you already know this. Overall liner have sure have gotten better and I feel we are at a peak right now. I mean take these ones, they are a gel (remember when a gel liner only came in a pot?), they’re waterproof (most are still only water resistant), and these dry down to a totally unmovable finish for hours (remember when liner barely lasted the evening out?).
