5 Super Long Lasting Lippies

Kind of like this move, I’m so tempted to just throw out all my regular lipsticks. I mean, if they don’t last on my lips, what’s the point in putting it on in the first place? I guess this is a tiny bit different than the nail polish situation in that I don’t seemed to get as annoyed when my lippie starts to fade as when I chip a nail.

Finally Found! 2 For Full-Proof HAC-ing!

Have you tried HAC-ing yet (highlighting and contouring)? I mean really tried it like you see in the picture below by @DressYourFace and do your whole face? I have but not this heavy and I still can’t get it to look right all around my face; just parts of it. Like I have the cheeks down and then around the outside of the face, well, most of the time it looks right … I think.

Have you tried HAC-ing yet (highlighting and contouring)? Check out this post for a full breakdown.

Part of the reason I think I always feel it could look better is that I feel like I’m using the wrong brush and wrong shades of HAC-ing powder. I made some recommendations from some palettes here but for me it seems that most of the shades work for me but not all of them, for the most part, in a given palette. Maybe I just need to take a few of them to someone who really knows how to do it and get a tutorial already! Or, I can just stick to keeping it simply with these next two that I find work great for me.

Have you tried HAC-ing yet (highlighting and contouring)? Check out this post for a full breakdown.

Review+Swatches - MAC Moody Blooms Collection

It’s been a bit since I wrote about any MAC products so here is a nice colorful collection, the Moody Blooms Collection.

What It Is: Exotic, night-blooming flowers with a hint of danger inspire a hothouse of seductive shades. Sensual colours shroud eyes in earthy metallic. Eye Shadows and lips suggest hidden motives with deep blue plum and dark berry hues of Sheen Supreme Lipstick. Bronze Powder Blush provides a final adrenaline surge before these beauties dissolve into the night.

Review+Swatches - MAC Divine Night: Holiday Colour Collection

Every year I look forward to the offerings from the MAC COSMETICS line and they do seem to up themselves in areas. Those areas would be the accessories like the makeup palettes and cosmetic bags. More on those at a later date. What I did get my paws on now are 3 of the items from the Divine Night Collection.

What it is: What happens at night stays there. MAC captures the moment when flashing lights illuminate a flair for finery and limitless luxury that can only be described as divine. Gorgeous colours in rich finishes inspire an evening on the scene and to be seen. Enjoy yourself – past midnight, the darkness keeps the secrets.

So let’s look closer at these and some swatches!

Review+Swatches - MAC Mineralize Rich Lipsticks

Another day, another lipstick from MAC. But these new Mineralize Rich Lipsticks are for sure not just like other lipsticks. First they are pretty pigmented and the shape of the lipstick is like none of theirs I’ve ever seen.

Review+Swatches - MAC Cremesheen + Pearl Collection

I’m a little behind in getting to MAC’s Cremesheen + Pearl Collection of Lipsticks and Lipglasses but the good news is that the colors are part of the permanent collection so you can still get them. Yeah!

The collection featured 15 shades of pink, coral and nude lippies and each is infused with crushed pearl and are all Asian-inspired shades.

Review+Swatches - MAC Hey Sailor! Colour Collection

MAC just came out with the Hey Sailor! Colour Collection and I think I was feeling this the other day without even knowing it as I picked up a blue and white stripped top from Ann Taylor on sale for just under $12. Just like the packaging, stripes can be fun!
