Body Ahhhh with Kat Burki Signature Body Crème

It’s been super-hot lately and slathering on a heavy body cream or lotion has been the last thing on my mind but for some reason my skin has been quite dry, so I kinda have to. KAT BURKI Signature Body Crème in Rosa Baroque ($62/6oz @ lordandtaylor.com) has really come to my rescue in a big way and handled two important things at once – moisture and scent.

It contains 98% natural ingredients and 70% organic ingredients and the lead ones are purified water, aloe leaf juice and sunflower oil as well as many other good-for-skin ingredients, so this is no ordinary body cream.

In reading up on more about the concoction I’ve been using quite a bit, I see that it has an organic herb blend to help with elasticity and some of the ingredients inside (grape seed and Tamanu Oil), will help with fading stretch marks and scars, as well as what we all need more of on our skin, cocoa butter and vitamin E. And you won’t find any of the bad things inside theirs like parabens, minerals oils, petroleum or dyes and sulfates.

And now the scent, this is one of those you want to wear on it’s own as the rose fragrance oil really stands out in it, so much so, that I can smell it through the container, like I can with their candles!

So if body crèmes are an area where you splurge, this is one to check out further. It’s also available in other scents like Avocado & Cucumber (yum!), White Tea and Sugar Magnolia, to name a few.

Spring Scents Part 3

Spring-Scents-Kat-Burki-L'Occitane-Lavanila
KAT BURKI Tubereuse
eau de parfum ($95/3.4oz @ katburki.com) – I wore this one quite a few times on my recent trip to Kauai and wow, just love the combination of peach nectar, orange, green leaves, tuberose, gardenia, jasmine all on a base of amber, rosewood and musk. Gorg!

L’OCCITANE Shower Gel in Jasmin & Bergamote ($18/5.9oz @ loccitane.com) – nothing wakes up my nose like an intoxicating shower gel. This one contains jasmine absolutes from Grasse (located in the south of France near Cannes) and Egypt and essential oils from Italy. This one is not one of those faux-scented products that overwhelms upon opening. It’s subtle and very pleasant.

LAVANILA Fresh Vanilla Lemon eau de parfum spray ($58/1.7oz @ sephora.com) – I thought this one might smell like a floor cleaner but phew, it doesn’t and the vanilla base makes it last on the skin. This also comes in a super convenient Eau de Parfum Rollerball for $19/.23oz.
