Kahina Giving Beauty Gives Us a Unique Rose Product!

Kahina-Giving-Beauty-Moroccan-Rose-Beldi-Soap
When you think of a luxury product, what kinds of ingredients do you think of? Roses? I totally think of roses and this unconventional product from KAHINA GIVING BEAUTY is all about it. It’s called Moroccan Rose Beldi Soap ($46/8.8oz @ net-a-porter.com) and contains just two ingredients: saponified olea europaea (olive) oil and rose damascene (rose) flower oil.

Now first, let’s discuss what Beldi soap is as I had to look it up myself. It’s a soap paste made from olive oil that has a light lather and is rich in vitamin E. The olive oil is saponified (this is what the process of soap making is called) and combined with rose oil and looks and feels like a gelified green goo. Beldi soap was made specially to be used in Turkish baths or Turkish steam rooms.

*On a side note, when I was looking up what Beldi soap was, I saw quite a few tutorials on how to make Moroccan Savon Noir (Beldi) soap. Just google it!

You only need a quarter-sized amount so this 8.8oz jar should last you a while or it can also be used like a body mask for super moisturizing. All I kept thinking when I was typing this is what a unique gift this will make around holiday time, dontcha think?

Happening Body Oils of the Moment

There’s nothing like a really great body oil and I’ve searched high and low for the best ones out there right now and came up with these winners. One of the reasons is that they are so versatile – face, body, even hair. Do you use body oils or will you start incorporating them into your beauty routine?

Body-Oils AROMATHERAPY ASSOCIATES Bath & Shower Oil ($63/1.86oz @ net-a-porter.com) – the one shown here is for Inner Strength, which I think we can all use more of, the founder created this when she was going through cancer and blends clary sage, frankincense and cardamom. While I’m not wild about the overall smell of this one (smells really strongly of lavender for some reason, which I don’t like), the quality of this one reins and I’m sure it will appease many out there.

LIERAC Huile Sensorielle Sensory Oil with 3 Flowers ($40/1.86oz @ dermstore.com) – Mmm, this one contains extracts of jasmine, gardenia, camellia (which they call the 3 White Flowers), hazelnut and sweet almond, to name a few. This one absorbs quickly and doesn’t make any part of the body greasy.

SHEA MOISTURE Raw Shea Butter Baby Oil Rub ($10.99/8oz @ target.com) – this is a new brand to me and wow, I’m impressed! The ingredient list starts with sunflower seed oil, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond and jojoba and gets better from there. Nothing bad in this one! And it smells really nice. Big recommendation.

KAHINA 100% Organic Argan Oil ($36/1oz, $82/3oz @ net-a-porter.com) – why don’t you just cut to the chase and go with the oil of the moment, argan oil? This extremely anti-oxidant rich oil can be used anywhere on the face or body and even hair (hello Moroccanoil!?) and is one of the lighter oils out there.
