Is This the BEST Liquid Lipstick Out There?
As a beauty blogger, it’s fun to compare notes with other bloggers on what they’re using, loving, hating etc. Recently, I had an email conversation with Courtney from phyrra.net and since I know she too loves her liquid lipsticks, I had to ask her what her favorites are. And she stated two that I had not tried out yet: Jouer and Sugarpill. Since the Jouer ones had been high on my list, I decided to buy a few of those.
Best Liquid Lipstick?
So here we have JOUER Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick ($18 @ dermstore.com) in Rose Gold, Fraise Bonbon, and Blush.
So how did these do?
These are some of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks I’ve ever worn. So much so that I’d put them in the top 5, for sure. They dry down all the way to a 100% non-transferable matte finish. In this case matte does not equal desert as these dry down but not too far down where the color is uncomfortable to wear on the lips. It's like the color is not even on the lips, that's how comfortable these are. I know, yeah!
Shown above L to R:
- Blush – a nice YLBB pink
- Fraise Bonbon – cool berry red
- Rose Gold – rose gold
As far as wear-time, the Blush lasted the longest, then the Rose Gold and of course, red being a super hard shade to get longevity out of, the Fraise Bonbon.
The doe foot of the applicator is pretty basic and my only complaint would be the square cap. The cap houses the wand and you hold it to apply the color. I find it’s pretty small so you have to make sure you have a good grip before applying. Then again, maybe I’ve become accustom to all the round caps out there!
