Using-Suave-Professional-Rose-Oil-Infusions-Shampoo-and-Conditioner
Since everything is coming up roses right now, I wanted to share an easy hair tutorial using Suave Professional Shampoo Rose Oil Infusion & Conditioner Rose Oil Infusion.

My hair is pretty dull and flat this time of year, so I’m always looking to use products that will give it more volume and make it look healthy. The Suave Professional Shampoo Rose Oil Infusion uses real rose oil extract to make my strands soft to the touch and super shiny. I always try to use products that contain quality ingredients, so the rose oil in the Shampoo and the Conditioner is perfect to prep my hair for a wonderfully lightweight style And using the two products together are a nose-delight with the scent of roses that lasts long after I’ve turned off the shower water. Since spring is right around the corner, don’t you want to run out and pick these up for yourself?

Holiday Hair Renewal

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Pantene at Walmart, but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

Pantene-Pro-V-Daily-Moisture-Renewal-Shampoo-and-Conditioner-main
Have you even started your holiday shopping yet? I'm just about done and couldn't be more pleased! This is probably the first time I've ever been able to complete it this early so now I can concentrate on the numerous fun holiday parties coming up.

Around Thanksgiving I trudge through my closet to pull out any holiday clothing items to make sure they're clean and pick out any accessory items I want to consider. I also make sure I'm in full stock of my basics for the month like stockings, shaving cream and makeup primer. Nothing worse than running out of something that's part of your routine as you're getting ready.

When it comes to styling your hair, you want to start your style with clean, hydrated hair by using Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. This duo has a potent blend of Pro-V nutrients to clean my hair super gently and give it a boost of hydration. This Pantene duo makes it feel like my hair can handle anything from a hot blow dryer to cold winter air.

Right now, save big on the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner Dual Pack at Walmart. Pick both up in stores for a limited time for just $9.88 – a $17 value! I picked these up quickly and easily during my weekly shopping trip so I could get home to start getting ready for the soirees.

I really do love getting dressed up for the holiday parties as I find it quite permissible, in fact, required, that one wear bigger than usual fashion pieces and at least one piece of larger-than-life bling. So this is the time of year I wear the huge cocktail rings and I have this black faux fur wrap that goes with everything. Both are a little over the top, which is thankfully completely ok this time of year.

What's your go-to piece for the seasonal parties? Do share in the comments!

Fall brings an extra set of new beauty concerns each year, and for me, it’s a dry scalp. The dry and cooler weather can really do a number on my skin and I’ve decided not to be embarrassed about it anymore. It happens and I’m just thankful I’ve got something to remedy it! I like to add a little extra TLC to my hair routine with the Dove Dermacare line. Choose from:

Introducing the Blazon Brush

Blazon-Brush-on-the-shelf
How often do you think about your hair brush? Probably only when you go to use it and say to yourself over-and-over that you need to replace it, right? How about a gourmet brush? Introducing the BLAZON Diamond Bezel Hairbrush ($59 @ blazonbrush.com). It comes in limited-edition colors (they've put out 4 different ones) and they seem to sell out quickly as this Vintage Gold one shown here is already gone. The next color will be debuted on November 18th. Can you guess what it will be? I’m going to guess either black or dark green.

NYFW Inspiration from TRESemmé

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Mirum but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

TRESemmé-Keratin-Smooth-with-Marula-Oil-Shampoo-Conditioner-Dry-Shampoo-and-Micro-Mist-Hairspray
NYFW may sound like it brings a lot of glamour (it does) and totally unwearable hair styles (some are, some are not) to the catwalk but you’d be surprised at how many are totally doable. So about 1 week after the shows are done, I look up some of the styles that were shown. Not only for the clothes but for the hair and makeup that goes with each outfit.

And this season, in partnership with TRESemmé, I’m creating one of the looks that inspired me and using TRESemmé products to do it. Don’t have to twist my arm!

Like makeup, a good base to your hair is important in order to be able to get the best style out of it, so I started with TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Marula Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. The newly revamped twosome is now safe for color-treatment strands and is specially designed to fight frizz, detangle knots, boost shine and tame flyaways, all of which are problem now that temps are dropping! These help smooth out my hair, especially if I’m going for a sleek look. And I pick up all these products around the corner at my local CVS

My love of everything coconut hasn’t waned over the years and actually seems to be getting stronger the more beauty companies exploit it in their products. Love that!

Check out the new collection of face and body products from SHEAMOISTURE! I love how available this line is everywhere and as well as how affordable the items are. The latest is their Green Coconut & Activated Charcoal Collection.

Shu Uemura and Spornette Tame Strands

Shu-Uemura-and-Spornette
I’m pretty religious about using a hair mask each week and lately I’ve been using the new SHU UEMURA Essence Absolue Nourishing Taming Overnight Serum $69/3.3oz @ shuuemuraartofhair.com). I’ve been a fan of their hair care products for some time and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s a light cream you apply right before bed so it can do its work while you sleep. I was worried that it would get all over my pillow but it seemed to absorb pretty quickly and left no residue behind. And this is a no-rinse serum so don’t worry about having sticky, crusty hair the next morning, as it all gets absorbed.

This one really added moisture and frizz resistance (they claim 24 hours). It can be applied on wet or dry hair and use a comb to distribute it evenly down the hair shaft.

Styling has become a breeze with SPORNETTE’s latest release, the Square Heat Styler ($25 @ ulta.com). It comes in 4 different sizes, Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large, so choose depending on the length of your hair. The square shape is ideal for getting high volume styles, super straight strands and even that flip at the bottom of the hair. The barrel is ceramic and tourmaline, which I have come to expect these days with a styling brush! The combo of these traits help the center heat up quickly and retain the heat, as well as leave hair super shiny afterwards.

Vinegar Hair Rinses from Pureology and Redken

Redken-Color-Extend-Vinegar-Rinse-Pureology-Vinegar-Hair-Rinse
I use vinegar to clear a lot of things around my house but I never really thought of it for beauty, until now. These two here contain apple cider vinegar to soften color-treated strands as well as give strands a boost in freshness and balances the hair’s pH.  Since I’m hesitant to use any kind of clarifying shampoo on my colored-hair, these are completely safe to use on it as they also remove build-up and won’t strip it.

Just squeeze out excess water after shampooing, squirt some on, rinse, and then apply conditioner as usual.

#StyleAndSaveNaturally with Suave Green & Ralphs

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Mirum but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

Hair-tutorial-using-Suave-G
I’ve stated a few times now how I’m pairing down my beauty routine on all fronts. Summer is busy enough with taking one kid to ball practice and another to swim team. I’m also taking the more natural route too by using Suave Green products I pick up at my local Ralphs. They have become my go-to as they really make me feel my best without breaking the bank. Using 100% natural ingredients, they omit nasty parabens and dyes in these products. Don’t you want to go the more natural route too when you can?

Here are the four in my corner right now:

  • Suave Green Natural Hold Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray
  • Suave Green Almond + Shea Butter Shampoo
  • Suave Green Almond + Shea Butter Conditioner
  • Suave Green Natural Refresh Dry Shampoo
