Crabtree & Evelyn Get Me Ready

Crabtree-&-Evelyn-La-Source-Warming-Foot-Smoother Overall, I’m on the fence when it comes to face and body products that are self-warming. Like you rub your hands together with some of the product in between and it warms up just like that. Self-warming products for face = a little creepy, but for feet I think I’m liking it. The latest one I tried is CRABTREE & EVELYN from their new La Source Foot Spa Collection, which just came out this month. I’m already a big fan of the La Source-scented line. It’s described as a light blend of sea accords and musk and it really does smell unisex.

The one I tried for my tootsies was their Warming Foot Smoother ($22/5.3oz @ crabtree-evelyn.com), which exfoliates with a blend of Tahitian sand, salt and pumice. The formula also works in macadamia nut oil and Shea Butter to help soften the skin. No need for a separate moisturizer afterward, really!

Crabtree & Evelyn Heritage Collection of Soaps

Ooo soaps! If you read Cybelesays.com, then you know I’m fan. And CRABTREE & EVELYN is adding some to my pretty vast collection with these from these triple-milled soaps from their new Heritage Collection. So what is triple-milled exactly? Triple-milled is a manufacturing process that simply means that the soap is shredded apart three times and then put back together. Milling helps distribute the color and fragrance evenly throughout the final bar of soap and it helps it last longer by making it harder (ref. sudsreport.com). I wonder why no quadruple-milled or … not sure what the next term would be! You know how companies are always trying to one up each other. But I digress.

Crabtree-&-Evelyn-Almond-Milk-and-Honey-Soap These Soaps are vegetable-based and contain Shea Butter, cocoa butter, coconut and evening primrose oils and you can choose from unique scents like Avocado & Olive Oil, Vetiver & Juniper, Oatmeal & Wheatgerm and Almond Milk & Honey shown here. $8/5.57oz @ dermstore.com.

And don’t forget, soaps like this make a great gift!

Get Into Spring Scents!

So I think this past Wednesday was the first Spring feeling day we’ve had here in Los Angeles this year. Yeah, it’s here! So of course I have been reaching for more spring-y type scents and here are a few I’m loving right now.

Aromafloria-Cupcake-Organic-Crabtree-Evelyn-Say-Yes-to-Cucumbers
CRABTREE & EVELYN Lily of the Valley Eau de Toilette ($45/3.4oz @ beauty.com) – Lily of the Valley is one of my favorite flowers and I love that they just put out this Floral Fragrance Collection for Spring. It’s a collection of single note scents (Lavender, Rosewater and Iris are the other launches) and the scents also comes in the form of triple-milled soaps, body lotions, candles, shower gels, body creams and a nice body dusting powder.

AROMAFLORIA Foaming Body Wash with Shea Butter and Body Butter with Shea and Aloe in Kiwi Coconut ($20/8oz @ aromafloria.com) – What better way to get your season on then with the smell of kiwi and coconut? These two are from their Sensory Fusion Bath + Body Collection and put me in a tropical frame of mind.

CUPCAKE ORGANIC Raspberry Rose Blossom Softening Day Cream ($24.67/1oz @ cupcakeorganic.com) – Mmm Rose Blossom, Ylang Ylang and Mandarin are combined inside this ECOCERT Certified day cream. This doesn’t have any SPF inside so be sure to load up when you wear this one.

YES TO CUCUMBERS Facial Towelettes ($5.99/30 wipes @ target.com) – quickly remove dirt, makeup and everyday grime with these babies for when you’re on the go. Oil-free and hypoallergenic.

Crabtree & Evelyn Lend A Helping Hand

Crabtree-&-Evelyn-Hand-Therapy-Collection Let’s talk hands as in getting them in shape. I mean, do you ever specifically do a treatment on your hands? And if you do, how often? Apply sunscreen on the backs of your palms? I admit that I neglect the hands a lot of the time but these new ones from CRABTREE AND EVELYN will remind me. They just put out a Hand Therapy Collection in Citron Honey & Coriander that helps keep hands buff and looking presentable. Each are free of parabens, lauryl sulfates, and mineral oils and instead contain hydrating botanicals and anti-oxidants. And the Citron Honey & Coriander scent is really enjoyable. I love great smelling products!
