First up is the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base No.1 Nude Radiance ($48/1oz @ nordstrom.com) – love how this 55% water-infused primer is to give your overall skin a glow from under your foundation. Glad they thought of this as it adds just a dash of elegance to your look.

Fresh Glow Highlighter in Rose Gold No.4 ($68 @ sephora.com) – if you’re adept at a press powder highlighter, this may be for you. And in rose gold!!

Face Contour – Effortless Contouring Pen Face & Eyes in Medium No.01 ($37 @ nordstrom.com) – contouring and sculpting with makeup is not as easy as it looks. But thankfully this one I wrote about the other day and this one here help. Besides the shades, blending in easily is the most important traits when it comes to a good contour color. This middle-of-the-road shades seems like it will work with most skin tones.

Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen ($37 @ sephora.com) – add a dam of radiance to the tops of cheeks, inner corners of the eye, cupids bow, wherever really, and this one blends nicely and looks adult.

Lip Colour Contour in Medium No.3 ($31 @ sephora.com) – wear as a lip primer or by itself. Eh, it was the least impressive out of the bunch.

Are Burberry's New Liquid Lip Velvet Lippies Worth It?

Burberry-Liquid-Lip-Velvet-in-Bright-Plum-Oxblood-and-Fawn-main-2
With a name like Liquid Lip Velvet, one would assume theses new ones from BURBERRY would fall into the liquid lipstick category, but not so fast. Described as, “bold and matte whipped lip cream,” that’s what they are, so these are in no way liquid lipsticks.

So how do these wear? I would put this in the same category as a regular creamy/matte lipstick as it acts pretty much the same, maybe just a tad thinner. The formula is really pigment and I found that I only needed one swipe on lips. As far as wear time, I got an average of 4 hours and the colors do transfer.

How this one is different than your lipstick in a tube is with the wand. The actual doe foot that applies the color to your lips is bendy! All the ones I’ve come across don’t move but this one bends, which is kind of cool!

Overall I’m not sure the steep price is worth what you get, or maybe I’m just so used to liquid lipsticks and how they wear that I expect for from a lippie these days. Is this something on you’re going to check out?

Choose from 14 colors for $34 @ burberry.com, sephora.com.
