You know when you go to a summer party and you see that one girl that just seems to have it all together? She has on the right summery dress, the hair that falls perfectly into place, and they just have that glow about them? Well, Olay Cleansing Infusions wants to help you be that girl at your next outing.

I don't know about you but summer is my favorite fashion season and as soon as we have a day that hits 80 degrees, all my cute dresses come out, especially the ones with the bold prints! I have this one I bought in the dead of winter that I've been dying to wear and I finally did this past weekend. It's a green and white polka dot dress and was perfect for a Kentucky Derby party I attended.

And to get my glow on, I used Olay Cleansing Infusion Hydrating Glow Body Wash (made with deep sea kelp) and Olay Cleansing Infusion Hydrating Glow Facial Cleanser (this one contains deep sea kelp and aloe extract). Both the facial cleanser and the body wash come in Crushed Ginger with Citrus Extract, too!

3 Ways to Turn Up Your Beauty Look

You have an event coming up and you want to find the perfect dress, the highest heels, a good blowout, and oh, what should you do with your makeup for it? While you decide, here are a few products that can add a nice touch to your look that you might not have thought about.

No matter what trait you are looking to show off, I have some suggestions that have totally worked for me below.

*LEGS*

Make legs look silky smooth – temps will be warming up soon so skirts will be getting shorter again. Give legs and extra extra with one of these. It makes you look like you are wearing stockings when you’re not. VOTRE VU Silk Stockings in Classic Bronze ($38/3.38oz @ votrevu.com) or NARS Monoi Body Glow I ($59/2.5oz @ narscosmetics.com, sephora.com).

Dove DermaSeries Repairing Balm 30-Day Challenge Results!

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Mirum but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

Dove-DermaSeries-Repairing-Balm
I’ve been testing the Dove DermaSeries Repairing Balm for the past 30-days and really giving this one a challenge on the dry parts of my body. Most in need were the hands, and two dry spots, one on my ankle and the other on my elbow. Have you been following my updates on Instagram?

What I like about this Dove DermaSeries Repairing Balm is how thick and emollient it is. That’s because of the unique petroleum jelly blend this contains. Regular lotion is fine but this liniment is more for those areas that might not respond enough to a cream and need something a little tougher, so to speak. It’s specifically made for those with dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, and it also a proven itch reliever. #fromblahtodermaspa

#TakeANewLook18 at Spring!

Spring is here, finally, and though we here in Los Angeles certainly did not get the brunt of the storms this past season; I’m still hankering for the warmth and mega sunshine. Each year my family and I designate a specific March weekend day to do what we call, the “change over,” where we each go through our own clothes, shoes, etc. and pull the winter items out we want to store. Each of us puts our items in the hallway and my husband comes by with a huge bin (sometimes two) marked 'winter' where everything goes in and it goes downstairs for the season.

Do you do something like this? After the clothes are taken care of, I immediately visit the beauty closet to change up my products for the season. You should always change in your beauty routine and products based on the time of year. In the colder months, heavier creams are great and also darker nails colors, etc., whereas with the warmer times of year like spring and summer, body oils, fruity-smelling products and pastel shadows are my thing.

#TakeANewLook18 at Unilever

This time of year is always crazy around my house. See, my SO (significant other) is a huge basketball fan, specifically, college ball, so right now, he is totally checked out of life with the NCAA March Madness and rooting for his team. He was a big time forward in his high school but a major leg injury his senior year kept him sidelined, so he didn’t play in college, but he still loves to follow it.

Are you cheering for anyone specific in your household? I don’t really follow it, so please don’t ask me. I just cheer whomever my SO is rooting for!

And it seems like everywhere I go to shop, there is March Madness in full swing, like at my local Vons. Did you know that this is the best time to stock up on your family’s favorite Unilever Personal Care products? My SO has his favorites so I make sure to always keep them in stock for him like AXE Body Spray in Fresh, Dove Men+Care Foam Body Wash in the Clean Comfort scent and Degree Men’s Dry Spray in Adventure. It’s the least I can do for all that he does for me.

Vons really does stock all the necessities in the personal care category and see a cool deal and sweepstakes they are offering at the end of this post!

Dove DermaSeries Collection

Disclosure: Post sponsored by Mirum but all opinions are my own. Please see below for additional disclosure.

Getting older can be interesting. Interesting by how my skin is reacting to it. Overall, I think it’s doing well and besides the super dry hands, I have some random dry patches that have pop up. One is on my left elbow and nothing seems to fix it! It literally feels like sandpaper and it sometimes hurts when inside my sleeve rubs on it. Another is on the top of my left big toe. I told you they were random! So I am super excited to try out this new product.

Dove just came out with their Dove DermaSeries Collection available @ target.com, which consists of a Body Lotion, Face Wash, Hand Cream, Face Cream, Body Wash, and the Repairing Balm, which is the one I tried.

H2O+ Sea Salt Mousse to Oil Body Moisturizer

H2O+-Beauty-Sea-Salt-Mousse-to-Oil-Body-Moisturizer
I love when I come across a product that does it differently like this H2O+ Sea Salt Mousse to Oil Body Moisturizer ($18/5oz @ h2oplus.com, qvc.com). It’s a body moisturizer that comes in a can and dispenses a foam that turns into an oil. Did you follow all that?

Two Delights from Golden Door

Golden-Door-Hinoki-Pacific-Salt-Body-Scrub-and-Hinoki-Body-Moisturizer
There’s nothing I love more than a good body scrub! Some days I choose a sugar scrub but when I need a really thorough exfoliation, I reach for a salt scrub like this one GOLDEN DOOR. Their Hinoki Pacific Salt Body Scrub ($58/8oz) is really thick and rich with salt, from the Dead Sea, and nourishing-for-skin ingredients like safflower seed oil, olive oil and jojoba. What’s interesting about this scrub is the lavender oil it includes, and while it’s not unique at all, it’s unique in that I totally don’t hate it. When I started this site many years ago, I didn’t mind the smell of lavender but as time when on, I’ve grown to dislike it, but I actually like it in this scrub. Maybe it’s because of the other ingredients it mixes with like the Hinoki, a Japanese Cedar blend, which is kind of woodsy and spicy and historically used to refresh the soul. So soothing and snuggly!

After a nice scrub down, I’ve been slathering on their Hinoki Body Moisturizer ($44/8oz). The first ingredient in this one is not water, but aloe juice. How rare is that? And this one also includes jojoba oil, sesame oil and Shea Butter (the third ingredient listed!).

And if the benefits inside these two don’t sway you, how about the fact that 100% of Golden Door’s profits are given to select charities whose goal is to transform the lives of children? Happy holidays.

Pick these up @ goldendoor.com hsn.com.

Holding Onto Summer with Lather

Lather-Jasmine-&-Plumeria-Body-Oil
I’m still trying to hold onto the last feels of summer and LATHER’s new Jasmine & Plumeria Body Oil ($28/3.8oz @ lather.com) are helping me. I mean what’s not to like about jasmine? It’s in a lot of my perfumes and plumeria reminds me of the handful of times I’ve visited the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

And this oil is made with good stuff! Check it out for yourself:

Lather-Jasmine-&-Plumeria-Body-Oil-ingredients

caprylic/capric triglyceride (an emollient derived from coconut and glycerin), glycine soja (soybean) oil, carthamus tinctorius (safflower) seed oil, dicaprylyl ether, dicaprylyl carbonate, plumeria acutifolia flower extract, jasminum officinale (jasmine) flower extract, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, citrus nobilis leaf oil, cananga odorata (ylang ylang) flower oil, fragrance*, tocopherol (family of vitamin E compounds). *natural fragrance

If I’m an ingredient reader of any beauty product, it’s face and body oils. It’s just so easy to hide fillers and synthetics inside them to take up space. I feel like they sink in so easily that I only want to put the most real ones on my skin. This one passes.

And this scent also comes in a Body Whip ($28/7oz) and a Bath Gel ($18/8oz).

Say Hello To Sexy Legs ... Seriously!

Say-Hello-to-Sexy-Legs-Tinted-Glow-Gel-on-the-beach
Quite a few times in the last few weeks I’ve found myself wanting a little boost in color but I have just not been in the mood to smell the self-tanner. Then I met SAY HELLO TO SEXY LEGS Tinted Glow Gel ($38/5.1oz @ sephora.com, qvc.com). It’s a wash-away-with-soap-and-water gel lotion that gives skin instant color and once it dries down is completely transfer-resistant.

And this is great for two reasons – sometimes I just want instant color before heading out for the evening and it dries down in 3 to 5 minutes! Yup, you don’t have to stand there waiting and waiting to get dressed. The other reason is that the color itself is really nice and doesn’t look fake at all. I am usually hesitant when it comes to these instant tints because it’s a one-size-fits-all when it comes to the shade but I have to say they pretty much nailed it with this one.
