Who doesn’t need to Brighten, Sparkle & Glow? Well BOBBI BROWN knows we all want to so it’s fitting to put out a collection that puts all eyes on your when you enter a room. Sitting on the heels in my mind of this one, her Brightening Finishing Powder combines all the colors to illuminate and create healthy glow.

And Ms. Brown infused hers with a blend of Mulberry, Grape and Scutellaria extracts as well as Sodium Hyaluronate, which is known to help keep moisture in the skin. And a big plus since this one easily tucks into the evening purse for touch-ups. $50 @ macys.com.

I used to think that going au natural meant not wearing a stitch of makeup. Yes, you can totally do that but I rather the polished au natural look and the latest collection from BOBBI BROWN called Uber Basics is helping me do just that.

We all know that Ms. Brown built her brand on this concept so I’m glad that she expanded it into four color stories that have a corresponding Eye Shadow, Sparkle Eye Shadow, Blush, Rich Lip Color and High Shimmer Lip Gloss. This makes it super easy for the novice.

Pros – nourishing and really light on the skin.
Cons – don’t always want to smell like the beach.

BOBBI BROWN is having a party and you’re invited! She just put out Bobbi’s Party Eau de Parfum and they claim this is for the holiday season, but I’m thinking it will surely fit into more ops like days, eves and more. If you like your scents to help you make a big entrance, this may be one you need to get a whiff of. Inspired by(it) the holidays but not smelling like(it) them, Ms. Brown says she was really inspired by old Hollywood glamour (seems like every Creator says this these days) and I think she nailed it in a very modern way. This floral has notes of violet leaf, rose petal, sandalwood and is very light and airy yet heady. $60/1.7oz @ neimanmarcus.com.

LIP SAVVY Star Studded Shine Gloss ($18 @ belipsavvy.com) – the way this think gloss catches the light is insane. The OMG color is a bright sparkling raspberry and has a hint of bubblegum smell to it.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Lip Line Perfector ($18 @ sephora.com) – there’s really no way to stop lines from appearing around our mouth and color on the lips can bleed, so thankfully they came up with an invisible liner to keep color in its place.

BOBBI BROWN Rich Lip Color SPF 12 in Desert Rose ($23 @ neimanmarcus.com) from the Marrakesh Chic Collection – such a great anytime rose color. It reminds me of the first shade of lipstick I ever used.

SKINN DIMITRI JAMES Glosstick Ultra Shine Lip Color in Tender ($12.50 @ skinn.com) – we all want the look of a gloss with the staying power of a lipstick. This one in Tender is YLBB, really better.

I recently read somewhere how Katy Perry does not "do" lip gloss and never wears it. I never even thought of something like that! As far as I knew, every female alternates between wearing a gloss, or a balm, or lipstick etc. Never heard of someone never wearing gloss, have you? Anyway, some glosses to feel a tad suffocating to me, which I have addressed here before but alas, we suffer for beauty. Those high shine lips are just too worth it to sit out! My latest one is BOBBI BROWN’s new High Shimmer Lip Gloss. If you want thee shinest, glossiest lips on the planet, this one may be your answer. It’s made with fine pearls and while this Pink Tulle didn’t give my lips much color, it amp’d up the shimmer and shiney factor to the max and the minty smell is a nice touch. $23 @ sephora.com.

I think at this point we’ve all owned makeup palettes where most of the colors just aren’t wearable. Personally I’ve accepted it as part of life! Thankfully BOBBI BROWN has the knack for putting together good ones where all the colors inside are usable. The latest two she has put out contain a full face in each one.

Pretty Face Palette – designed for light to medium complexions, this one has four neutral eye shadows that can be worn for day or eve looks by just adding the Chocolate Caviar Eye Shadow in the crease. This one also contains a new color of blush, Pretty Pink Blush, which is a warm baby pink. And top off lips with any of the three pinks. My picks is the Sandwash Pink Lip Color.

Powerful Face Palette – this palette seems little more … less neutral, well at least a little bit. They consider this one ideal for medium and deep complexions. I mean the shadows are on the darker nude side and three lippies also on the darker side. But what stand out for me in this one is the Plum Blush. Really flattering! $60 each @ dillards.com.
