Bath Time with Bella Lucce

It’s full-on bath season and this past weekend I celebrated again with BELLA LUCCE’s Asian Indulgences Goji Berry Bath Bliss. I’m pretty bananas about hard water in that I don’t want it, so this hybrid bath tea/milk bath was a welcome treat since it really softens the water so beautifully. And the ingredients are really A+: Coconut fruit juice powder, Epsom salts, Goji Berry fruit, among a few others and this one contains 97% natural ingredients. And because it’s in a powder form, it will last on your shelf longer (18 months).

And this comes with a large steeping ball that you fill with a couple of scoops of the powder and drop in the bath water. Not everything has to be complicated, even when it comes to beauty. $38/7.6oz @ bellalucce.com.

Visit Africa Through Bella Lucce!

Bella-Lucce-African-Adventures-Collection-Moringa-&-Shea-Cleansing-Bar You have to appreciate a brand that goes the extra mile to source ingredients from other nations, especially when it’s an independent brand like this next one, BELLA LUCCE. In addition to quite a few products, the line has four collections inspired by different parts of the world – Asian Indulgences, Rainforest Restorations, Arabian Odyssey and the latest addition, the African Adventures Collection. The creator of the line traveled to Africa six times over two years studying the natural botany and talking to the native women in a few of the continent’s countries like Ghana, Egypt and Uganda. The 8 products in the collection are the result. I tried the Moringa & Shea Cleansing Bar ($10/4oz @ bellalucce.com) from this collection and it’s made up of Palm Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Fruit Butter and Avocado Oil, among others. There are no hard-to-pronounce or foreign-to-the-ear ingredients inside this one and each comes from the wilds of Africa!

And what this soap comes in is worth noting. Each is wrapped in a piece of bogolan cloth hand painted by the local women Mali, Africa in the nations traditional black designs with fermented mud from their Niger River. The tag attached to it suggests one find a special use for it and I will be sure to.

Need A Scent Pick-Me-Up? Bella Lucce To the Rescue!

Bella-Lucce-Arabian-Odyssey I’ll admit it. I get burnt out every so often, as in, nothing is exciting me and then BAM, along comes something that wakes me up. And that’s exactly what happened with BELLA LUCCE’s new Arabian Odyssey Collection. The Founder of the line has actually traveled to different parts of Arabia six times in the past two years and we’re glad she did as all eight products in the collection have been hanging stateside since I got a few weeks ago. I just can’t get enough! Using ingredients only found in that area like, Turkish coffee, Dead Sea mud, red sandalwood, Moroccan lava clay and date sugar, to name a few, each product is made in small batches to ensure freshness. And like the rest of the line, each is free of parabens, silicones, dyes, formaldehyde donors and phthalates and sulfats.

Our picks:

  • Exotic Date & Wild Honey Buff ($28/10oz)

  • Moroccan Lava Cleansing Bar ($9/4.5oz)

  • Spiced Pomegranate & Yogurt Detox ($30/4.8oz)

So thanks for getting me out of my beauty funk, Bella Lucce! All @ bellalucce.com
