Alima Pure Gets Lippie

Alima-Pure-Organic-Nourishing-Lipbalm Life is a conquest to find the most perfect tinted lip balm out there. We all know it can be a rocky road with few that take on the challenge. The ALIMA PURE line took on the challenge and came back with a winner. Their Organic Nourishing Lipbalms ($7 @ alimapure.com) not only give a slight tint to lips but, to put it bluntly, the stuff lasts on lips. And they don’t use anything questionable in the formula - Sweet Almond oil, castor seed oil and Shea Butter are the first three ingredients in the balm and overall, the texture is pretty soft as in, I don’t think this will last too, too long but then again this is probably how quickly a balm is supposed to be used up by unlike ones I’ve had for 2 or 3 years that I just can’t bear to throw away because there is still some left in the tube/pot!

Some of the other ingredients are safflower seed oil, coconut oil, white tea, jojoba and peppermint oil, which gives this one a nice scent and very slight taste.

Color picks – Holly Berry (sheer neutral red) and Fig (shimmering bronze plum).

The Colors of Alima Pure's Yoga Collection

Alima-Pure-Yoga-Collection How I can tell if I really believe in a beauty product is if I find myself reaching for it in an off-time, as in, when I done testing it. Mineral eye shadows fall in this category. They just seem to blend better and I like the textures of them. One that I am into these days is ALIMA PURE’s Yoga Collection of eye shadows. They  describe the finish of these as, “almost matte or semi-shimmery … a unique blend of matte and shimmer. In direct light, they look shimmery and on the skin they are matte until you turn your head just so.”

So wear one or mix a few together on the lid. Here’s a description of each color:

Asana – light peach w/hint of golden shimmer
Namaste
– warm rose w/bronze shimmer
Mantra
– soft blue-green sparked w/gold
Vinyasa
– medium neutral brown w/sparse shimmer

$25/all 4 colors @ alimapure.com.

Alima Pure Goes Hollywood

Let’s get down and dirty with the latest from ALIMA PURE. I was recently introduced to this line of mineral makeup and so far, I am liking it. The colors are pretty rich and all of them have been totally wearable. Not a sour one in the bunch! Let’s look at a few collections they are putting out for the holidays, a tribute to the sirens of the silver screen.

Alima-Pure-Act-1

Take care of your eyes with Act I with Eye Shadows - Lana (creamy pink shimmer), Ingrid (pearly taupe), Ava (silver), Bette (velvety blue with a hint of silver). Wear one, two or all four at once to create a sexy smoky eye look.

Alima-Pure-Act-II

Act II helps you get the most outta cheeks with a Blush and two highlighters – Harlow (pearl highlighter), Garbo (matte brown to create depth), Leigh (neutral rose with hint of copper shimmer).

Each collection is on $25 and $2 from each sale is donated to the Global Fund for Women. Love that!
