Gift Pick: For the Hostess with the Mostess

What It Is: AGRARIA AirEssence $110/7.4oz @ bloomingdales.com

Why I Like It: This is one gift that is sure to wow the recipient. Yes, you could bring the typical bottle of wine but who needs that? This is a room diffuser, that you’ve heard of and possibly used before but the unique part of this is that the scent diffuses through the 2 sola flowers . Each flower is hand-crafted using the dried peel of the tapioca plant and is sewn onto a cotton wick. As the oils from the bottle are absorbed by the wick, the flowers will change to the color of the oil as it diffuses into the air. So cool!  And this diffuser comes with a glass tray that it sits in and you can choose from 8 scents, which includes the newly released Golden Cassis. Now this is class.

Are You In Scent Limbo?

Agraria-Woven-Crystal-Perfume-Candle-in-Bitter-Orange
Seems that the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is a bit of a no man’s land when it comes to scents. It’s not quite time for all the holiday fragrances to waft through the house but then again, I’m not quite feeling a floral bouquet either! So I’ve decided that from now on, between these two dates, I will burn the neutral orange scent around the house. This AGRARIA Woven Crystal Perfume Candle in Bitter Orange gave me the idea and while the orange fills the void beautifully, it has a touch of clove and Cypress that gets me excited for what’s coming up next week into next month.

The candle is made with vegetable-based premium soft waxes and a lead-free wick and comes housed in a beautiful rippled glass jar with a silver plated lid stamped with the Agraria crest. A nice added touch from a line that is quickly becoming a favorite. $55/7oz = 30 to 40 hours burn time @ neimanmarcus.com.

Agraria - A New Way to Scent a Room

Agraria-TasselAire-Perfumed-Tassel-+-one-refresher-oil-in-Mediterranean-Jasmine-2
I love coming across a totally unique product, especially when it falls into the category of something I’ve never seen before. From the AGRARIA line comes a beautiful way to scent a room. The product is called TasselAire and it is a perfumed tassel that can be hung on a doorknob, a curtain tieback, really anywhere, and no one will be the wiser.

The secret to this scenter is the “carrot,” as they call it, under all the pieces of tassel. Just add several drops of your chosen scent that comes with it to the carrot piece of fabric and you’re good to go for a few more weeks. Choose from 9 scents like Lemon Verbena, Balsam and the one shown here, Mediterranean Jasmine, which smells so good, I could wear it. $35 @ saks.com.

And I know it’s only September but this would make a really nice holiday hostess gift, dontcha think?

Looking for Luxury? Agraria Can Help.

As I’ve mentioned here before, I’m a sucker for a fancy soap. Just a seemingly plain bar of soap because in this case, presentation is everything! A new line to me is this AGRARIA brand. Built on the premise of ‘wrapped-and-ready-to-give,’ the brand was thinking eco-friendly long before it was hip when it comes to packaging. The first location sprouted up in San Francisco in 1970 and now their products can be found in locations all around the world.

Agraria-Luxury-Bath-Bar-in-Lemon-VerbenaThis Luxury Bath Bar is my first taste of the line and it’s been a good bite! Their soaps are triple-milled and come in 8 scents and contain olive oil, vitamin E, Shea Butter, Yucca Oil, Kukui Oil and sea fennel, so they not only look good, they have function. The one I tried is the Lemon Verbena and it’s the perfect scent for the spring.

Yes, it’s a little pricey at $20 but when you are looking to treat yourself, isn’t it worth it? Get it and other products @ saks.com.
