Urban Decay Game of Thrones Palette
By now you’ve probably seen all the photos of the URBAN DECAY UD / Game of Thrones Palette ($65 @ urbandecay.com, ulta.com) and a lot of you picked it up as it’s sold out on their website! What a stellar collab.
The palette is comprised of the five house names of GOT – House Targaryen, House Lannister, House Stark, The North. I had to ask a GOT friend of mine how to refer to these five names as I don’t watch the show!.
Check out these 20 shades of mattes, metallic and frosty shimmers inside the palette. It has 16 shades and four transformer shadows.

Overall, I wasn’t sure this palette was for me. Since I have hooded lids, I’ve watched quite a few tutorials and most have called the lid “valuable real estate” and to choose what shade/s I put there wisely as they can either make your eyes look smaller or bigger. So since I want to make my eyes look bold and bright, I always choose a very light shade on my lids. Well, this palette doesn’t have any light shades that are matte neutrals, which I found surprising. The lightest one would be the pink of House Lannister.

So working around this, in the few times I’ve used the palette, I’ve used a few of the transformer shades and made them work, actually quite nicely! In the look shown here I mainly used King’s Landing as well as White Walkers. I’m not much of a blue eye look person because it always ends up looking too disco to me but this one came out pretty good, don’t you think?
Is this a palette you will be picking up when it’s restocked? Ulta.com it will be out on 4/29 and in their stores on 5/2.
