Kosas Tinted Face Oil
Have you ever heard of a tinted oil or a foundation oil? It seems that a new brand, KOSÅS, has put one out. They call it a Tinted Face Oil ($42/1oz @ kosas.com, neimanmarcus.com, nordstrom.com) and the base of it is made up of six active botanical oils that seem to do double-duty – nourishing skin with ingredients like oils from avocado, red raspberry, green tea, meadow foam, jojoba (second ingredient listed) and rose hip, while adding a touch of color.
It’s gives medium-coverage and this is a back-to-basics when it comes to applying it in that they recommend using fingers! Now when was the last time you used your fingers to apply your foundation/face color? Let that sink in for a minute (no pun intended). I’ve gotten used to sponges and brushes as my tools in the last 5+ years when originally I used my fingers all the time. My how times have changed.
Anyway, it’s available in 10 shades they claim are wearable for 30 different skin tones, and a little goes a long way, like 2 to 4 drops for a full application. This is probably the lightest (in weight) face color I've ever worn before and I got a full day's wear out of one application.
And be sure to shake it well to keep it all mixed together before using it, which I find fun since it has one of those metal weighted balls inside that makes a sorta asmr noise when shaken up.
This Tinted Face Oil is 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and free of parabens, silicones, sulfates, pthlatates, mineral oil, PEG and petrolatum.
