Take the #QuickColdPledge with Tide at Walmart

This post is sponsored by Tide at Walmart, but all opinions are my own.

Now this is a campaign I can get behind! Did you know that switching to quick and cold washing machine cycles can help the environment? Tide is making a national effort to encourage people to wash their clothes in quick cycles and use cold water through the #QuickColdPledge! Check out these amazing stats:

  • There's an up to 80% reduction in energy use when using the quick & cold vs. normal cycles.
  • Quick & cold results in a decrease of up to 40% of greenhouse gas emissions.

And  Tide PODS, shown here in the Spring Meadow scent I picked up for a low price at Walmart, are formulated to work well in cold water. While I was not always a cold water user, now use cold only.

In my house, while I do the weekly wash, my boyfriend takes care of washing the special items like the dog beds, the blankets and the towels. We tried to alternate weeks when one of us would do the laundry, but that didn't seem to work, so putting him in charge of the once-in-a-while items has made it easier for him to stay on top of it. No matter who is doing the wash, using the quick cycle gets it done in half the time!

It took him a minute to get in the rhythm of the ritual, but once he got it, he was on board. He loves using the PODS, and I love that they provide 10 times the cleaning power in half the time compared to the leading bargain liquid detergent brand. Happy boyfriend, happy…everything!
