B-Glowing Illuminate + Shine Palette
Did you know that the B-GLOWING brand had products out in their name? I didn’t and found out that it was designed for the woman over 40 who wanted a makeup that didn’t feel drying or that accentuated the wrinkles on her skin, in other words, Age Embracing. As the brand says so boldly, “It’s not about fixing flaws, it’s about finding what works for you, and letting yourself GLOW.”
I was able to get my hands on the first product in the line, the Illuminate + Shine Palette ($58 @ b-glowing.com). Inside are 8 matte/shimmer shadows, a brightening primer and a highlighter. Each is infused with MicroVector Plump GABA-HYA, which is a moisture-rich blend of collagen, hyaluronic acid and a few other ingredients to help plump, hydrate and smooth the skin. I’m not sure if the amount of powder you’re putting on the skin can help it benefit from these ingredients, but ok.
Under the hood at the top of the palette is the Cream Base, which is the primer and can also be used as a concealer, and also the universal Highlighter. As far as the shadows go, most are pretty basic and blend nicely. The two that stood out to me were Baroque and Rococo. Just stunning!
I’m loving the blush-pink of the faux-leather zippered case. If says, “I’m coming with you on your next trip,” as it keeps the items inside from breaking. And when you’re done with the palette, you can pop out the pan and use it for other things!
In the look shown below, I used Silhouette all over the lid, Baroque and then Rococo as the cut crease and then Ethereal under the brow bone and to blend the two cut creases in. See my Instagram page to reveal what else I used in this look.
