Mascara is a funny thing – either it works for you or it doesn’t, but how could one “work” for someone and not someone else? Interesting, huh? The latest one to cross my desk is BENEFIT COSMETICS BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara ($24/full size, $12/travel size @ benefitcosmetics.com, ulta.com, sephora.com) and they call this one the BIGGER, BADDER volumizing mascara.

Are you familiar with the earlier BADgal Mascara? Well this one kicks it up a notch, for sure. The formula contains aero-particles, derived from space technology, to build up lash volume. It also contains provitamin B5, which was a hot ingredient included in hair care products a few decades ago, anyone remember?

What I didn’t like about this one that the original didn’t seem to do, is give me raccoon eyes after a few hours of wear. So to combat that, I apply this one to the bottom lashes as usual and then seal it with my Holy Grail. Presto, no more raccoon eyes!
