Butter London Glazen Blush Gelée

Anything that delivers a product in a unique way always seems to catch my eye. And the latest is the Glazen Blush Gelee show here in the mauve shade of Dazzle ($26 @ butterlondon.com, ulta.com) from BUTTER LONDON. It’s a highly pigmented thick jelly that applies best to cheeks with fingers and dries down to an unmovable powder finish. The color is buildable and a little goes a long way.

And don’t look to the 3 available shades for any kind of matte finish. Each has a pearly and slightly iridescent finish (from the mica inside) that will beg you to make cheeks your front-and-center feature. And why not? The cheeks rarely get to be.

As far as the pot this comes in? Well, I think they could have done better. How you see it in the picture is how I got it, which is, basically, messy. It looks half full and I cringe every time I put my finger in to grab some color knowing I’m subjecting the marvelous jelly to the bacteria on my finger. Couldn’t they have come up with a better way to house the product? I’m guessing not. It’s my only criticism of this otherwise spectacular product.
