It’s officially New York Fashion Week (NYFW) where all the fashionistas gather to see what the clothing industry has to offer to the upcoming season. Hair and makeup are a major part of every show and I made a tiny resolution a few weeks ago to try and style my hair a few times a week and this next product is helping me do that and be fancy like those at NYFW.

I guess the closest I will get to NYFW is a night out with friends or to a fancy dinner, which is fine by me and these events don’t always mean an extreme updo. It’s simple, elegant and easy to do and I'm sure many versions of it will end up on the runways. #TresRunway2018

And I’m creating it in celebration of TRESemmé Micro-Mist Line just launching at CVS stores nationwide and @ cvs.com. It’s the latest from the brand that helps achieve and hold the latest styles with natural movement without the stiffness. So let’s get to the hairstyle! I recently cut about 3 inches off the length as I needed a change so out came the scissors. And it’s the perfect length for this wavy/beachy style I’m going to do here.

I’m using Level 2 – Smooth as you can’t have any frizz with this style or it will just fall flat, no pun intended.

Using a ¾” barrel that is a conical or clip curling iron, and day-old hair, wrap a 1” section of hair around the full barrel, leaving the ends unwrapped. You’ll want to start at the back of the side of the head and alternate rolling the hair forward and then with the next section, rolling the hair back.

Then after all the sections have cooled down, rough up each section with fingers and style, spray the whole head with TRESemmé Micro-Mist Level 2 – Smooth, to keep all the strands in check for the rest of the eve. Make sure to shake the can well before spraying!
