#BewitchingBeauty with Ralphs This Halloween

This is a sponsored post. All words are my own.

What are you going to be for Halloween this year? I’ve done a slight rendition to this comic book makeup look shown here and I decided to really go all out this year with the wig and full makeup. It’s really easy, doesn’t take a lot of time and looks really cool, so I thought I’d do a tutorial with makeup I picked up on my weekly shopping trip at Ralphs.

I’m going to be wearing a lot of makeup for the tutorial so I have to make sure I prep my skin well. After washing I apply Organic Wear Bright Boost Oil Elixir. This face oil is packed with really great ingredients: camellia seed oil as well as oils from sunflower, jojoba and grape seed among others. No silicone fillers inside!

After waiting a few for the oil to seep in my skin, I apply Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Cushion Corrector + Primer in Peach/Lavender. This duo color-corrects my skin and blurs fine lines and pores, which is exactly what I need for this look.

Next, I apply Almay SmartShade Anti-Aging Skintone to my face and neck. Right now I’m in the odd stage of “it’s not summer but not quite fall yet,” so my skin’s tone is in between. This one from Almay is able to adjust to your skin tone.

So now my canvas is ready. With a liquid liner, I outline my features like the face, lips, brows, eyes and nose. I line my eyelids with a cartoony-color that’s bright pink and then mascara. I’ve been liking Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Volum’ Express Mascara. This look calls for big volume so I coat about 20 layers on and then apply false lashes.

Next is the most important part to make it look fully cartoony and grainy. Dab white dots on the face and neck. I used a liquid liner, not a pencil, as a liquid is more pigment and won’t smudge once it dries.

Since I’ll be attending an all-day Halloween party with my niece, I need to make sure my lips stay on, so that’s why I’m choosing Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in Lover. If you are a regular reader, you know that these are at the top of my list of long wearing lippie list! I just can’t get enough of this formula. I hope they are never discontinued.

The last step in this tutorial is the hair. I picked this wig up at the thrift store and have had it for a few years. Like a pair of cat ears, you just never know when you’re going to need a funky wig. And here is my final look. Do you like it? Will you be trying this look out for your upcoming Halloween party?
