Sephora Welcomes Antonym Cosmetics
Have you heard of the ANTONYM COSMETICS yet? I wrote about them a while ago here and then their name popped up again when Sephora added them to their store last month. Yup, when Sephora adds a brand, I pay attention!
So what are they about? Antonym Cosmetics is an Ecocert certified, cruelty-free and eco-friendly. And they take it one step further. See the packaging in the eye shadow quad? It’s made of bamboo, as is the makeup brush handles.
They saw a gap between an organic line and one that performs. So how do the products perform? See below!
Certified Organic Eyeshadow Quattro ($39) shown here in To the Moon and Black – I seem to be used to shadows that are workable for a few and then set and don’t move. These powders don’t act like that though they blend really nicely but wear off too quickly.
Certified Natural Waterproof Eye Pencil ($19) in Brown – same as above. Since this one is waterproof, I thought it would set and not move after applying. In the pic shown here, that’s one swipe, so the pencil is super pigmented but it didn’t lock in place after a while, which again, I am used to that right now! But I think I found the use for this one - the water line. It applied smoothly to that area and lasted for about 5 hours.
So would I recommend this line or these products? Yes, I believe there is room for a truly innovative and clean line and these certainly performed, especially the pencil.
