I feel like I’m the only one on the planet that has not tried MILANI Amore Matte Lip Crèmes. I’ve read about them the past 6+ months and they always seemed to be sold out at Walgreens but I finally got my hands on some. While I can see the buzz over one of the finishes, the other, well, I’ve used ones that are better.

Let’s take a look at the traditional Amore Mattes. Yes, they are a liquid lipstick. Yes, they dry down and last for hours but overall, I think they are too matte for me. They don’t really feel uncomfortable on my lips, which is good, but these dark shades make the color look really dry on my lips and even flaked off a bit after a few hours. I'd give these a C-.

The Amore Matte Metallic Lip Crèmes? These fared much better, in my opinion. It seems like the metallic finish helps so the look isn’t so dry looking on the lips and of course it lasts for hours on lips. I'd give them a B+.
