Remove Fuzz & Exfoliate w/Dermaflash
Have you heard about the whole shaving-your-face trend? It seems to not only remove peach fuzz but it’s also for exfoliating the skin. Overall, it does seem a tad strange and while I don’t want to admit it, I do have some peach fuzz on my face now that I’m over 40. And when I see it most is when using a face mist and I use them often so I know it’s there.
Remove Fuzz & Exfoliate w/Dermaflash
But of course I have some questions about removing the hair on my face in general. Is it true that if I shave it somehow, won’t it come back thicker and more pronounced? From what I can tell, that is an old wives tale.
Enter DERMAFLASH Facial Exfoliation Device ($189 @ sephora.com, qvc.com, neimanmarcus.com). This is a 3-step process that will remove the peach fuzz and exfoliate your skin at the same time.
And this is pretty easy to use – prep, edge and soothe.
Prep – use the Prep cleanser to clean and pat skin dry.
Edge – slide the Dermaflash into the cartridge to insert an edge. After charging it, push the hummingbird pic on the top of the device to activate the vibration. Then, holding the cheek taut in front of the ear, hover the device over the skin at a 45º angle and glide along from the top of the cheek down towards the mouth. I believe the vibration helps it glide across the skin.
Soothe - after Dermaflashing (yup, I made it into a verb!) the whole face, apply the Soothe product to calm down any irritation that could crop up after using this.
Each kit contains the following:
- Charging stand
- DermaFlash
- 6 single-use edges
- 1.8oz Prep
- 1.8oz Soothe
While I kind of don’t trust myself with a razor anywhere near my face, if I use correctly, then there’s no way I will cut myself, which I was initially concerned with. Just make sure you keep it at a 45º angle next to the skin as you glide it across.
Another important thing to note is that you should only go over each area 1 time and never reuse an edge.
Use once a week and you'll have really smooth skin! Is this going on your Wish List?
