I’m Showing #ShoeLove to #Amopé This Season
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Amopé™. The opinions, photos and text are all mine.
I officially tucked my flip-flops away this past weekend and will be pulling out more of my actual shoes now that we are on fall's doorstep. And for me, with actual shoes comes the need for foot support. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one on the planet who has an actual shoe box full of full support products! Shoe too big? I have something for it. Shoe rubbing on a toe? I have something for it. And when I'm out shopping for new shoes I keep the contents of what's inside this box at the back of my brain and will even buy ½ size up to accommodate, if I think I'm going to need something extra inside my shoe.
Need more proof? I've written about foot support products many times over the years on the site - here and here. And with my newly diagnosed Plantar Fasciitis in my right foot, I need all the support I can get!
The Amopé brand just released their Gel Activ™ series of foot insoles at Target and there are four varieties available:
- Amopé Gel Activ Everyday Heels
- Amopé Gel Activ Extreme Heels
- Amopé Gel Activ Flat Shoes
- Amopé Gel Activ Open Shoes
These insoles are made with super concentrated gel and are 25% thinner than other insoles so they will fit in all your shoes without crowding the toes or making them too small, both of which have occurred multiple times using other insoles. The bottom of each of these has a sticky material on it to hold it securely to the inside of the shoe and it won't lose its tack if you remove it to place it into a different shoe. Love that!
And with each of these they have really done their homework to create an insole that supports specific pressure points depending on which kind of shoe you're wearing. Like with Extreme Heels, you need the extra support on the ball of your foot, or with Everyday Heels, you need the arch and ball of foot support.
I pretty much live in my local Target so I was quite excited to explore this new collection in person. The first Target store I went to was sold out of two of the styles so I ventured to another one a few miles away and they had all four available for purchase!
I bought the Open Toe and Extreme Heels. Open Toe is made for those open toe shoes. It has an extra slim design of clear plastic that is cushy to the touch. I love that it's clear so if I choose to kick off my shoes under the table when I'm out at a fancy dinner, no one will notice that I have insoles inside my shoes.
And these are easy to put inside shoes – simply remove the piece of plastic from the bottom of the insole and stick the sticky side to the inside of the shoe. Done! And each pair will last you about 6 months depending on wear.
And I was really excited that one of the styles is for those of us who love our stilettos. As you can imagine, since that Plantar Fasciitis diagnosis, I have been laying off the high heels, but I do find I want to wear them with certain dresses I own. Flats certainly won't do so, thankfully, someone has finally heard our cries and responded with the Extreme Heels. I had a wedding over the weekend so I wore them inside my new Charles Jourdan heels and my feet felt fine up until the valet brought our car around to venture home. I was amazed!
