Mine came in this cute pouch with pins on it!

I’m not sure how I feel about shimmery/glittery eye shadows these days. I’ve been so all about mattes that I almost forgot they existed! So when the new IT COSMETICS ‘Superhero’ Eye Transforming Anti-Aging Super Palette ($42 @ qvc.com) was sent my way by their PR team, I thought, “ok, time to move out of the mattes!”

This uniquely shaped palette is quite fun in the packaging department and serious about the product inside. Each superhero-inspired shade was developed with plastic surgeons (not sure which one/s) and infuses anti-aging properties inside. Hmmm, not sure if I’m applying enough of it on my lids to reap that benefit, am I? Well it sounds fancy.

 

 

Moving on, if you look at the tops bigger shades in the palette (3 of them), those are the Eye Foundation Base shades that are for color correcting on your lid before applying the shadow/s. Not sure if these act as a primer but I’m guessing 'no' on that.

My Take: Overall, I like this palette for some basic colors everyone needs in their collection. The lighter shades didn’t really do it for me but as I moved to the right of the palette, I got more into the colors. Like Fearless, Bold (nice denim shade!) and Daring. The most useful ones for me seem to be the liners and I’ve been wearing them all over the lid to create a smoky eye. The Superhero shade works especially well as these blend down nicely.
