Do You Milk Makeup?
I’ve seen the MILK MAKEUP brand a few times on the Sephora website and I know that when it’s sold there, it must be something. So I finally got my hands of three of the products to try out:
Milk Makeup
Lip Color in Gnarly, Eye Pigment in Mermaid Parade, and Lip + Cheek in Swish.
Milk Makeup made its 85-piece product debut on the scene early this year by the people behind NYC’s Milk Studios, so you know it’s already got the hip factor.
Comprised of simple and easy to toss-in-a-bag-and-go products, it’s for the low-maintenance girl and works best when applied with the fingers, not brushes.
Lip Color in Gnarly ($22 @ milkmakeup.com, sephora.com) – this is a fuchsia pink with a satin finish. It’s a nice basic YLBB and lasted on lips as long as the average lip color does and nice for those days/eves I don’t want to lip commitment that a liquid lipstick brings.
Eye Pigment in Mermaid Parade ($24 @ milkmakeup.com, sephora.com) – loving this metallic green color for lids. The formula for this is almost too good in that once it sets, it won’t budge or flake off for quite a few hours. So forget about using a makeup wipe to remove this. It took this one to finally make it move.
Lip + Cheek in Swish ($24 @ milkmakeup.com, sephora.com) – this is a bright pink with a satin finish that doesn’t look too bright on the skin, so don’t be afraid. Believe me, I’m the queen of applying too much blush and this one takes quite a few swipes to overdue it. Love that alone! And this shade is such a great flush o’ color for the season!
Disclosure: Samples of these items were provided for review purposes.
I'm dying to try this brand. Love the packaging and the whole look. The pigmentation on the lipstick & shadow look amazing
