Do you strobe? Have you tried it yet? It’s the opposite of contouring and it’s sure having a moment right now! And it seems easier than contouring too. Simply think of where light naturally hits your face like the top of the cheekbones, down the nose and middle of the forehead and apply the product there. It's such a refreshing touch to add to your look!

Here are some products that can help you get in the strobing mood:

Cybelesays Special Report - Lace Your Face

Kanvas-Beauty-logo
I recently had the chance to experience a facial and brow sculpting by Kanvas Beauté Owner, Anita Sun. Conveniently located a hop, skip and a jump from where I live in Los Angeles, she offers an array of facial treatments, which you can see here.

Probably her most popular one and the one she is most known for is The Rejuvenating Collagen Lace Your Face Signature Facial with Red Light Collagen Synthesis Stimulation and Anti-Aging Fruit Acid Booster. Say that five times fast!

After applying a papaya enzyme exfoliation and manual extractions, the collagen, apple stem cell and peptides serum infused in the lace facial mask is put on. Now this mask doesn’t just lay on the face, it’s actually hooked onto the ears with a lower chin strap piece to lift and firm the jaw line. This forms the compression that enables the serum and other ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin. Don’t Iook cute??

Have You Met Your Foot's New Best Friend?

The-Footmate

The-FootMate-Rejuvenating-Gel

There are a few things that you are unable to do to yourself. Did you know this? Tickle yourself is one and I’m convinced that a massage is the other. While I can live without being able to do the first on, the second, not so much. If I had a million dollars, the first thing I would do is hire a personal chef with orders to keep Maine lobster in the frig at all times (de-shelled and ready to eat) and the second would be to have a masseuse on call. I read somewhere during the Velvet Rope Tour that Janet Jackson hired her body piercer to come on tour with her. I swear!

Anyway, I came across FOOTMATE at the Indie Beauty Expo recently and wow, it looked like the Mercedes version (they call it the ‘Ferrari of Foot Care,’ and I swear I came up with Mercedes before I even read that on their website!) of the one I’d used, and loved, a few years ago.

And opening the box and looking at the massager/cleaner/exfoliator, I do believe it looks like a manta ray. (I didn’t see that on their site!).

The-Footmate-side

The scrubbers are soft but strong bristles in the middle and studier ones on the sides and the base is a  mildew-resistant rubber that has suction cups on the underside so it suctions to the bottom of your tub for easy scrubbing while you shower. And did I mention how great the scrubber feels on the feet?

Just add a little liquid soap to the bristles and start scrubbing. Your feet will thank you.

Choose from 3 different colors on their site and each order comes with their 7.5oz Rejuvenating Gel, Retrieval Rope and instruction sheet. Blue $39.95 and White or White/Blue is $49.95 @ footmate.com.

The Answer to Removing That Gel Manicure

Nailmates-main
The main reason I tend to stay away from the gel manicure is the removal process. Yes the pluses to these manicures are many: shiny nails, durability, longevity, but oy, the removal. No bueno. And heck, now that I think about it, glitter nail polish is also quite a process to remove as well.

And I was hoping for someone to come along and create an easier way to remove polishes such as these, like just a straight up super remover that can handle the task but I guess we’re not there yet. So in the meantime, I’m settling for these NAILMATES.

Smells of Spring

Sweet-Smells-O-Spring

1. MATRIX Biolage Polishing Hair Scrub ($23/7.6oz @ jcpenney.com) – this pre-shampoo sugar scrub was made to clean the scalp and hair and I’m a fan of these pre-products lately. This one smells like fresh cut lemons.

2. WEN 'Spring Honey Lilac' eau de parfum ($109/3.4oz @ chazdean.com) – I think I may have found my springtime scent! Living in California, I don’t come across lilacs at all so it’s nice to be able to smell them again on the regular with this frag.

3. METHOD Foaming Body Wash in Ruby Orange ($4.74/18oz @ walgreens.com and target.com) – no waiting for lather with this one! Just a few pumps of this in the wash cloth and you’re ready to go. And the scent is really nice and uplifting.

4. REVIVAL Coffee + Rose Hip Natural Body Scrub ($21.95/8oz @ revivalbodycare.com) – if you need your coffee to wake you up in the morning, you may want to check this one out because coffee is the main ingredient. Also inside this Vegan scrub is coconut oil, brown sugar, virgin olive oil, sea salt, and rose hip oil. That’s it! #supportindies

Check out a full review of the entire Benefit Cosmetics Brow Collection. Cybele Says dives into each product and shares their pros and cons.
I watched a bunch of snaps of the huge party BENEFIT COSMETICS had in Las Vegas for the launch of their Brow Collection over the weekend (yup, my invite got lost in the mail) and wow, this collection is huge!

Benefit Brow Collection

What looked like a couple dozen different products in the pictures and video is actually only 10 total products; some have been out before and this is their relaunch and some are brand new. All are out in July 2016 in the United States now @ benefitcosmetics.comulta.com, hsn.com, macys.com.

Get Matte with IT Cosmetics

It-Cosmetics-Naturally-Pretty-Essentials-Matte-Luxe-Transforming-Eyeshadow-Palette-compact
I don’t think you could get a shimmery eye shadow on my lids right now if you tried. Well, if you held me down perhaps but I’m just not feeling them these days, along with lip gloss.

That’s why the IT COSMETICS Naturally Pretty Essentials ($28 @ itcosmetics.com and qvc.com) eye shadow palette is so up my alley; it’s all mattes all the time and one radiatingly gorg highlighter.

Let’s #SharetheHealing with Vaseline #ad

Vaseline-100%-Pure-Petroleum-Jelly
Sometimes we see ourselves as too small to make a difference, like with my latest campaign on distracted driving. But I have to get over that feeling because with everything in life, it starts with one person and it can multiply from there and can change the world.

And that’s just what The Vaseline Healing Project is about. Vaseline has partnered up with DirectRelief to provide dermatological care, Vaseline Jelly and medical supplies to those that need help in healing the skin of people affected by poverty or emergencies around the world.

Vaseline-at-Walmart-Build-A-Relief-Kit

Check out this special message from Viola Davis here. And she really hits it home. I never thought about the skin needing attention when a disaster hits like the recent earthquake in Chile or a crisis arises in an area like the middle east and what supplies can make a difference.

You can build your own Healing Kit here and I love that if I hover over one corner of the picture, it shows why that item is important. I pretty much put every product they showed in my kit! And you can pick up every product at Walmart, which makes it easy to have your own emergency kit at home or in your car.

Vaseline-at-Walmart

For this campaign, every 1 Vaseline purchase you make, The Vaseline Healing Project will make 1 Healing Donation. Are you in yet? Remember, you can make a difference. #SpreadtheDifference and #SharetheHealing! Read more about the whole project here

What seemingly small act of kindness have you done in your life? Share in the comments!
