PUR Eye Polish + Top Coat

File this under, ‘How did I miss these?’ They came out last fall and when I recently saw them online I knew they were a must try. Inside the formula is a thick creamy pigment and eye primer and outside is a top coat, which keeps it from creasing on the lids and makes it long-wearing.

What I liked about these:

The color is buildable! So if you want just a dusting of color or something deeper and seductive, both looks and everything in between can be created!

What I didn’t like about these:

Because of the metallic sheen with each of these, it’s not easy to get a consistent application. What I mean is, in the swatch picture below, it looks great from end to end, but on the lid with the curves and corners, it’s a little harder to get a consistent look. Just one of those things, I guess. And since it applies wet and dries down to a non-moving product in about 1 minute, I got in the habit of tap-tap-tapping the color on the lid as quickly as I could. Each color gave me about 8 hours of solid wear.

And speaking of tap-tapping, each color comes with a nice quality silicone application tool. Is it useful? Well, yes and no. Yes to keep the container contaminant-free and no to getting a good application on the lid. I kinda like using my finger better.

Will you be picking any of these up?

Love that the color is buildable, I tend to go more subtle but like to amp it up if going out!

Such pretty colors. I like the applicator brush.
