Cordless Curling Iron? I Tried One ...

I’ve tried cordless hair tools before and while they seem to mostly do what they set out to, none have impressed me that much. Next up? The CHI Escape Cordless Curling Iron ($109.98 @ farouk.com) from the FAROUK SYSTEMS brand. So how did this one do? Click after the pic to find out!

This one curled my hair as well, if not better, than one with a cord! The iron is battery operated and has three settings: (Low) Blue 340ºF for Fine Hair, (Med) Green 356ºF for Medium Hair, (High) Red 375º for Coarse Hair. It took only a few minutes to fully heat up (the light will blink when the desired temperature has been reached) and will stay consistently heated for 30 minutes. It comes with travel pouch to store it in, which is great for when you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to make sure it’s fully cooled down. And you can also plug it in while the iron is still in the pouch, which is probably safer than having it heat up on a counter since it doesn’t have a metal stand attached like most irons do.

And know that this 1” one contains the latest in technology like ceramic and it not only comes with a standard wall plug but also a car charger! Yup, a frikkin’ car charger! That’s the first time I ever seen that, however, I did just hear from a friend that car-charging hair tools are not an anomaly, but it is for me.

The only trait that raised an eyebrow was the shortness of the iron’s clip. Not sure why it is not the full length of the iron as most are but, eh, a small detail that I can get over.

Ok, this one is taking up a spot in my beauty emergency car kit.
