You’ve probably seen the photos or heard the buzz about BENEFIT COSMETICS’s new additions to the They’re Real collection. Four new Push-Up Liners and two new Mascaras!

So do these colors perform as well as the originals? i put them to the test!

 

First up, the liners. The They're Real! Push-up Liner in Black won two awards from Allure when it came out last year and I too loved it. The color is super black through and through and always gives me that black-black that I look to it for and it lasts on my lids for hours.

These new gel colors are housed in the same click-pens, which I’m not always a huge fan of since it can take more than a dozen clicks to get it going. I’ve even had some click pens never even work at dispensing the product altogether! Thankfully these all worked but that thought still crosses my mind when I get one of these.

Anyway, these all seems to give me full consistent color like the Black one did with the exception of Beyond Blue. I just couldn’t seem to get it not to streak on my arm, as shown in the picture, or on my lid. Eh, 4 outta 5 ain’t bad! $24 each.

Beyond Green (army green)

Beyond Blue (medium blue)

Beyond Purple (medium violet)

Beyond Brown (milk chocolate brown) 

Beyond Black (blacketty black-black!)

Moving over to the Mascara, while brown is not really my thing, blue certainly is once-in-a-while. While the blue looks pretty light on the wand, know that it looks darker on lashes. $24 each.
