When I first heard of this I thought, “ok, is this one really necessary?” I mean, how fast do you need to have a brush move to apply foundation?? I can understand the benefit when it comes to cleaning the skin but I tried to keep an open mind with this one.
They say this can be used with liquids, creams and powders, wait, what? Powder foundation and this brush? I’ll have to try that at some point but I did try it with this foundation and this one that I’ve been alternating between.
I’ve only recently had success with just using a makeup brush with liquid foundation and I’m guessing it’s partly because of the stippling bristles. This blendSMART one so looked like the one from Bare Escentuals that I had to do a side-by-side!
I found that the best way to use this brush is to dab a small amount of your foundation on each cheek, chin and forehead and then apply the brush and work it in. And since the brush is moving in a circular motion, they recommend moving the brush back-and-forth and up-and-down, not circular. That will take a little getting used to since that’s what I’ve always done when using a brush to apply foundations.
So did I feel this gave me a flawless look? I’d give this a B+ overall. My skin did look really nice after using this but I’m not sure it’s a necessary tool to have in your beauty arsenal. It could grow on me as I use it more … or not. Will let you know!
And here is a short video I shot so you could hear how it sounds. It's a tad loud compared to other devices but not too annoying.
Are you intrigued by this new technology?

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of was those lollipops that have the spinning handle? But, then I thought about it from an accessibility standpoint. For someone who has limited use of their arms, this product could make the difference in how they feel about their makeup. So, while it might not be for me, it might be a boon to someone else.

I saw this product a couple of weeks ago on another blog, and I think it's the coolest thing!

This looks like a neat little gadget. I would personally love to try it, just for the heck of it, but I agree, it isn't something necessary.

I think this looks great. I love gadgets and I'd love to try this. Is it a necessity? Of course not but life is to short not to have fun!

This looks so interesting, I have ecotools version of this type of brush and love it for my powder foundation. It would be interesting to see if it applies it any better.

Wow - this really intrigues me. I don't recall seeing much like this and I think it would be a great addition to any kit. Cool.
