Review + Swatches - Tarte Park Ave Princess Contour Palette

I can’t believe it’s been 15 years since the debut of TARTE COSMETICS! I remember writing about their first-ever product, the iconic cheek stain. So to celebrate, they are putting out a whole bunch of new products under the 15 Year Anniversary Collection tag.

First up? The Park Ave Princess Contour Palette ($34 @ tartecosmetics.com). Makeup contouring really took off as a trend in 2014 and doesn’t seem to be slowing down in 2015.

I think we’ve all seen the uber-scary photos of contouring gone overboard but you won’t have to worry about that with this palette.

The compact contains 3 shades: Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess, Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Posh (pale pink), and Amazonian Clay Highlighter in Champagne Gold.

The powders blend in very well and while I’m not an expert with bronzer (yet), this one really worked for me as it’s not too dark, which I seem to gravitate towards for some reason.

Wear them individually or work on your contouring techniques. Anyway you decide, the value of this palette gets two thumbs up.

And need a new makeup brush for the New Year? The Powder Player Bamboo Pressed Powder Brush ($34) is so soft that I can’t believe the bristles are synthetic!
