It seems like every makeup photo I see on Instagram tags Anastasia’s DipBrow in the list of products used. It’s definitely reach cult status in the short time it’s been out, I wasn’t completely blown away by it in the handful of times I’ve used it. So in my quest to find my Hall of Fame brow liner, I bring you IT COSMETICS’s new Build-A-Brow 24hr Waterproof 5-in-1 Micro-Fiber Crème Gel Stain ($26.36 @ ulta.com).

I’m a really big fan of this line, as I think I’ve mentioned before. It seems that they really know how to embrace the latest in technology inside a beauty product and it’s (haha) exactly what I want in a beauty line. And this gel-cream does just that. Even though it looks like a regular cream color in the glass container, know that it’s not. Coupled with their double-sided Heavenly Luxe Build-A-Brow Brush and you’ve got a serious performing duo!

The color adheres nicely to the brow area, both on the hairs and in the sparser areas (the skin) where you need a little bit of color to fill it in. I tend to have a heavy hand when applying any color to my brow area but found my brows didn’t look heavy-handed when I was done! That could be due to the Universal Taupe color I used, the formula, the application brush that has slots cut out in it, which I’m convinced is to help those with the heavy-hand syndrome, or all three.

Overall I really liked this duo. The color latest on my brows throughout the day and though I didn’t test to see how waterproof it was, it has been a rather warm winter so far so I have found myself sweating on a few occasions and it still didn’t move. Is it my new go-to? Only time will tell.

And lastly, I have to comment on brow brush that comes with this. The bubble in the middle where you hold the brush with your fingers makes using the brush soooo comfortable! I know they have this feature  in some of the other makeup brushes for the face but I didn’t find they made a big difference when using them like it did when using this brow brush, so thanks for including this detail, IT!
