Butter London Gets Into the Matte Game
I guess I pretty much expect a super flat look when I see the word “matte” in any lipstick name, however, this truth seems to only be when it comes to liquid lipsticks. I recently tried BUTTER LONDON’s new LIPPY Moisture Matte Lipsticks ($22 @ ulta.com). So how did they do? Click after the pic to find out!
I was surprised at the long the colors lasted on my lips and how not matte the colors looked on my lips, at least not the matte I have become accustom to lately, which would be the nails-down-a-chaulkboard-matte-dry-but-I-wear-it-because-it-lasts kind.
And they were just not shiny like most lipsticks but what should be noted is that I could touch my lips with my finger without transferring all the color onto it; little bit but not as much as a regular lipstick.
Primrose Hill Picnic (neon pink)
Come to Bed Red (blue-based red)
Mush (dark nude coral)
MacBeth (coral)
From L to R in both pics above: Primrose Hill Picnic, Come to Bed Red, Mush, MacBeth
And because these formulas are super thin, make sure you give your lips a good exfoliation before applying as these will magnify rough lip skin. Color picks: Come to Bed Red and MacBeth.
Will any of these shades go on your list to pick up?

I love the coral
