Coolest Beauty Gadget I’ve Seen In … Forever!

Have you ever used a knife in a restaurant to see if you have anything stuck betweetn your teeth? Why don’t you just use your phone to see that? Huh? Well if you had the GLAM SCREEN on my iPhone, I could use that instead! This Super HD Mirror Screen Protector ($24.99 @ glamscreen.com) is probably the coolest beauty “gadget” to come along in some time. When your phone is off, you can use the screen like a mirror and it’s pretty clear too, not crystal like a real mirror but clear enough to get you by. And it acts like a regular screen protector (and installs like one too), so why not have one on your phone that does double-duty?

Created by, Jonathan Cheban, who you might recognize as Kim Kardashian’s BFF on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, I think he’s got a total winner on his hands. Every person I’ve shown it to since putting it on my phone a few days ago, has exclaimes, “Wow, I need that!”

But not so fast! It’s not available for every device and right now, only the following: iPhone 4/4s, iPhone 5/5s/5c, iPad 3rd and 4th generation, iPad mini, Samsung Galazy SIII/S4 and HTC One. And there’s a voting page on their site so if your device isn’t listed, you can put in with others to hopefully have one made for it soon.

This has all the makings for a super successful product except for one thing. The price. I think it’s too expensive at $24. If it were $10 or $9.99, I would have already bought some for friends, but maybe that will change as it becomes more popular.

Is this something that you must have?

LOL. But where's the fun in that, when you can just creepily walk up to any car window to try and grab a peek at your reflection? I actually had an old flip phone with this capability, but it got really hard to see the screen in the sunlight. The things we do for vanity... ;)

Hi Audrey, yes, we've all done that and it is creepy and I'm always afraid someone is going to be sitting in the drivers seat, roll down the window and go BOO!!
Did you flip phone have this mirror thing built in or it just happen to be good at using the screen as a mirror? Cool!
