Hello Inglot! How's Your Freedom Palette?
Have you heard of the Polish line, INGLOT, yet? I first saw them at The Makeup Show about 3 years ago making their stateside debut and wow, was their booth busy! This Freedom System palette is my first experience with the brand so let’s explore how it works.
What It Is: A palette you can customize by picking your own eye shadows, brow colors, lipsticks and concealers. First, pick a blank palette by selecting the number of pans it holds (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20 and 40, price range $7 for the single to $39 for the 40). Then choose your color pans. From eye shadows to brow powders to lipsticks, you can put one together for each type of look you wear, like daytime, to a night on the town and even one for your purse.
My Take: While creating custom palettes like this is not new, I think at this point it comes down to versatility and quality. I’ve long heard raves about this line, especially the shadows, since they took up shop here, so I was excited to finally have the opportunity to try it out. The 4-pan palette I received contained 4 of their brand new launch of Lipstick Matte shades already inside - #504 (dark brown), #505 (beige), #507 (orange-based red), and #509 (light pink).
The base of the palette has really strong magnets imbedded inside so the base holds on tightly to the pans. What was fascinating, and kinda fun, was that since the frosty top also has magnets on the corners to adhere it to the top of the palette, you can also use a magnet to get the color pan outta the palette. Coolio!
So how were the lipsticks? Pretty good! While I’m more of a fan of the ready-to-use stick or tube lipstick, I found the quality with these 4 shades really nice. The formulas are thin and they wear almost like a stain, which is a nice alternative when the temps are high. And I’m prone to bleeding around my lips and I didn’t have any with these. Each color contains macadamia nut oil and avacado oil inside to help make for a very smooth lippie. I got an average of 5 hours outta these colors. $9 each color/2grams.
