I love exploring the summer makeup collections as it gets hotter, the colors get brighter and just more fun! The HOURGLASS COSMETICS brand is expanding their Panoramic Long Wear Lip Liner with 4 new shades and added 3 new shades to the Extreme High Shine Lip Gloss collection. Let explore the two here!

 

Do you wear lip liner? I find myself wearing it more with darker colors like reds, purples and browns since precise application is usually the look you want to achieve, so this Panoramic Long Wear Lip Liner in new Raven, a bright orange-based red, will go with a lot of the red shades I own. This shade went on smoothly without any tugging or skipping and lasted through lunch and thensome. Use it alone with just lipstick or use the brush on the opposite side to blend it around the lips and top with gloss. 

The other product I tried was their Extreme Shine Lip Gloss in Ballet, a bubblegum pink. I’ve never tried this specific line of glosses from the line and was pleasantly surprised. One thing – they call this a gloss but I think it’s more of a liquid lipstick as it’s way to pigmented to be a gloss and it lasts a few hours longer too! Are you sure on the name HC?? Anyway, the formula contains a special gel technology to increase longevity and It contains vitamin E to help keep lips in shape, which mine seem to always need this time of year.

And the doe foot of the wand does warrant some words on – it’s a tad squarish around the edges; dare I say a tad squoval? And it sits at an angle to help with a nice application. I simply LOVE when a brand goes the extra step with this kind of detail as it really makes a different.
