Review+Swatches - Jane Iredale Mystikol Powdered Eyeliner/Highlighter
Liquid eyeliners and pencil liners are fine but a lot of times but more times than not I find myself looking around my makeup table for a smudge brush to soften the look, especially for a daytime look. This JANE IREDALE Mystikol Powdered Eyeliner/Highlighter ($20 @ nordstrom.com) is a nice one to not only apply color but virtually eliminates the second step of blending it in.
And this Lapis Lazuli is especially up my alley right now since I’m so into blue color in the eye area right now – one side is a deep cobalt blue and the highlighter on the otherside is a light peachy shimmer. The blue is for a liner/shadow, obviously, and the matte blue is really nice with no real smudging required! For some reason the swatch below makes it look almost black but know that it is a true dark blue #needtogetbetteratgettingaccurateswatches!
And they suggest the peachy side under the brow and in the inner corners of the eye. Inner corners, ok, but under the brow? Shimmer is a little dated for that area so I’m passing there.
Overall I know I’ll get a lot of use on the blue, which makes this one totally worth it for me.
Is this something you will put on your list to check out? They have 8 other color duos available to check them out to see if one tickles your fancy! Links are above.
