Part of ESTEE LAUDER’s new 2013 Spring Collection is a really hot pink lipstick called Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Fuchsia Fever. It’s very close to one of my all time favorite pinks from the brand called, Fuchsia Velvet. So how do they compare? Click after the jump to find out!

First off, I thought the old Fuchsia Velvet was the same Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick, so hopefully I was going to compare apples to apples, but after wearing it and swatching it, I don’t think it is.

Here is the breakdown:

(old) Fuchsia Velvet – a more matte blue-based pink and more pigmented and lasts for hours. Really a great quality lipstick.

(new) Fuchsia Fever – a tad bit glossier and I didn’t get the same long-wear out of it.

$25 @ bergdorfgoodman.com. I don't see my old Fushsia Velvet on the site anymore but maybe they will bring it back at some point as this is for sure my pick of the two.

Btw, did you see the other new color called Solar Crush? Oh Em Gee, stunning … at least online!
