2012 Holiday Pick - Kat Von D Starry Eyes Makeup Palette

She’s into Vemon and Motörhead, tattoos and dates one of the best electro-house music producers of the past decade and she’s cool enough to have a makeup line.

Kat-Von-D-Starry-Eyes-Makeup-PaletteWhat it is: KAT VON D Starry Eyes Makeup Palette – 4 Eye Shadow Trios in Felix, Helmüt, Lohnër, Requiem, Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Adora.

Why I like it: I love this not only because of the mucho shadow colors you get for the price but the quality is great. When was the last time you used up a whole shadow? Exactly. Instead of giving us a ton of a few colors, they give us 3 in each color family. And were these modeled after the Inglot brand’s shadows? Hmmm.

Price: $34 only @

2012 Holiday Pick - Urban Decay Feminine, Dangerous, Fun Palettes

Do you like safe neutral colors or do you once in a while like to add a dash of edge to your eye look? If you have someone on your list that loves color, this next one is for them.

Urban-decay-feminine-dangerous-fun-palettesWhat it is: URBAN DECAY Feminine, Dangerous, Fun Palettes

Why I like it: Some of the colors in each palette have some spark and some are a little more on the neutral side. UD’s eye shadows are a great quality so you’ll get a ton of combos out of whichever one you choose. And with these, they are introducing a new Pigment Infusion System, that helps give each its rich velvety texture and staying power.

I think each case was feeling a little lonely as each includes a mini Lip Junkie Lipgloss inside. Aww! And the zippered vinyl case is just so unique and feel sleek when I run my fingertips along it.

Price: $36 each @

2012 Holiday Pick - T3 Source Shower Filter

There’s always someone on your list that you have no idea what they would like. You know they like beauty but have no idea what kinds of colors they wear or what items are their favorites. I’d say, if you don’t even know that, why not just drop them off your list altogether?? Ok, ok, I won’t be a scrooge! I have the perfect one for them here and I’m sure no one will outdo you with this one.

T3-T3-Source-Shower-HeadWhat it is: T3 Source Shower Filter

Why I like it: This completely unique beauty product that your recipient won’t get a dupe of is something you probably didn’t even know you needed! This showerhead filters out the chlorine in your water that can damage your hair and wreak havoc on your color. It uses a filtration process that they call Redox, which removes it and balances the water’s pH. And it’s ok to get yourself one too.

*NEW* Product Addition to the Hall of Fame from Spornette

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve come across a product deserving to be added to my Hall of Fame, which is my all time favorite products. But I found one!

Spornette-Porcupine-Hair-Brush-Boar-and-Nylon-Bristle-Rounder-Wooden-HandleThe SPORNETTE Porcupine Hair Brush Boar and Nylon Bristle Rounder Wooden Handle 3” has been the answer to all my styling prayers. I’ve used this one on and off since I got it and I find myself going back to it when I want really straight shiny hair for the day/night. The wood handle is really solid and  helps me style with ease; not to mention the handle is one piece, so no worrying about a hair getting caught in part of the brush. Ouch!

See more about it here, which includes the awesomely affordable price.

Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Honey Bath

It’s officially bath season and I wanted to start it off with a bang so I poured in some of LAURA MERCIER’s new Ambre Vanillé Honey Bath in the last few I've taken. I simply adore honey and vanilla so the two combined in a sweet bath elixir is heaven.

Laura-Mercier-Ambre-Vanille-Honey-BathThis one foams up a bit and also softens skin with Shea Butter, sweet almond and oat proteins, and pro-vitamin B-5, so the skin will surely benefit. And the scent of this one is laid out like a perfume with layers:

  • Top Notes: Tangerine, Coconut, Almond
  • Middle Notes: Tiger Orchid, Milk Flower, Heliotrope
  • Base Notes: Amber, Vanilla Beans, Brown Sugar, Sandalwood

Have you ever used a honey dipper with a bath product before? This one comes with it, so let the baths begin! $40/12oz @

And also be sure to check out this scent in the Scrub and Soufflé Body Crème versions.

2012 - Holiday Pick - Stila Seeing Stars Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner Set

I wonder if there was a way to count what category had the most products in it. I bet it would be lipstick but I think eye liners are right up there too so you have to be choosy in your choices and there are some great ones out there but don’t you only want to give the best?

Stila-Seeing-Stars-Smudge-Stick-Waterproof-Eye-Liner-SetWhat it is: STILA Seeing Stars Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner Set – colors include Stargazer (black w/gold and silver pearl), Angelfish (metallic pewter), Tetra (deep shimmery purple), Moray (golden olive shimmer), Oscar Fish (warm brown w/gold pearl).

Why I like it: I swear by these liners and use one almost every time I wear makeup – lids or waterline, they last a long time. They are really smooth going on and the colors are all totally wearable. These are some of the best money can buy and what a great affordable set. Yes, you should get this for your bestie but I would also pick up a set for yourself.

Teeth Sensitive to Teeth Whiteners? Here Is Your Answer!

I’ve shied away from at-home teeth whitening kits in the past year or so as I always seem to end up with sensitive teeth and I’m just not going to take it anymore! Alas, now my teeth could use a little perk so when I was offered to try NOVA WHITE Professional At-Home Teeth Whitening System, I wasn’t really into it, but I am a guinea pig, so I sucked it up and said yes.

So what happened? Click after the pic!
