A lot of buzz around the Opaque Rouge ($28 @ sephora.com) from HOURGLASS COSMETICS – a liquid lipstick, super matte finish and long wearing. So how did it work for me? Click after the pic!

I’ve been seeing a lot of women wearing false lashes for everyday lately. Are you one of them? I wish I was but I just feel too(it) made up if I wear them during the day.
Whatever your preference, know that the EYLURE line just came out with some new styles, 2 under the Katy Perry brand and 4 under Naturalites. Let’s investigate each of them after the pic!
I like to think that I’m finicky when it comes to perfumes but the number of bottles on my dressing table shown here in this picture might tell a different story altogether.
The latest I can’t get enough of is by the uniquely named company, JULIETTE HAS A GUN. At first I was more fascinated by the name of the company as this could have been a jewelry line, or a brand of clothing but fragrance is what they specialize in.
The latest release is an eau de parfum called Romantina and in reading up on the background of the scent, I came across this recent review by fellow beauty blogger The Non-Blonde and it brings up some great points. The only area I have to disagree is to the way this brand is able to make the cluster of notes hang on to the skin longer than most mass-produced fragrances, as she puts it, ones you find in Bloomingdales. For this one, the dry down is a morph of rich feminine floral blossom with a touch of musk and it lasts for hours, not so much where it enters a room before you do, but more in that anyone in your intimate space will probably get a light whiff of it, which is how perfume should be.
This one’s story is described as:
“For this new episode, I wanted to bring a hint of frivolity into Juliette’s life. Romantina is a modern tale, as refreshing as an afternoon at the café of a Roman piazzetta. First floral fragrance of Juliette has a Gun’s collection, its gentleness is only an appearance. Lifted by a touch of Patchouli, Romantina is a comtemporary [sic] romance where once again, Juliette will get the last word. Romano Ricci"
It contains notes of musk, orange blossom, vanilla from Madagascar as well as jasmine, lily of the valley, rose, iris, osmanthus and vetiver. $110/3.3oz, $85/1.7oz @ sephora.com or try a sample of it like I did for $3 @ luckyscent.com.

NARS blushes are some of my favorites and at first look, this Outlaw colored Blush from the NARS Fall 2012 Collection looks like it could be a little difficult to work with if you are heavy handed like I am.
I’ve always been a fan of URBAN DECAY makeup – the colors, the cleaver packaging, it’s just all fun, the way makeup should be. They just added some new shades to the Lip Junkie Cooling Lip Glosses and since I never tried these before, this was my first experience with them and I think I’m in!

Ready ... SWITCH!! As in, switch perfumes! The new season is upon us and it’s time to put your light, airy scents at the back. New some new recommendations? I’ve have a few I’ve been trying out and have some hot off the presses ones for you to consider.
One at the top of my list that has Fall written all over it was created exclusively for the Anthropologie stores as part of their Curiosities Perfume Collection, it’s Sweet William from San Francisco-based perfume house, INeKE, and yes, it does have some association with the royal couple. Kate Middleton included it in her bridal bouquet. How cool is that!?
This eau de parfum soliflore (a fragrances replicating the scent of a single flower and yes, I had to look this word up), is described as, opens with a peach note, then warmed with cinnamon, clove and cumin essential oils. The dominant wood notes are a blend of cedarwood, sandalwood and patchouli, softened with Bourbon vanilla. You really have to smell it to appreciate the depth of this one. Big recommendation but I am so into it right now and officially ready for fall. $68/2.5oz @ ahalife.com.

I’m a little behind in getting to MAC’s Cremesheen + Pearl Collection of Lipsticks and Lipglasses but the good news is that the colors are part of the permanent collection so you can still get them. Yeah!
The collection featured 15 shades of pink, coral and nude lippies and each is infused with crushed pearl and are all Asian-inspired shades.

If there was one beauty treat you could enjoy on a weekly basis where money was no object, what would it be ? Mine would have to be a massage. I’ll take a good shoulder rub or foot massage anytime, anyplace. For me, it’s my major form of pampering, which is why I jumped at the chance to try one out at the Argyle Salon & Spa. Tucked discretely inside the famed Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, CA, they offer an array of services, from hair cut and coloring to manis and pedis to tanning and waxing. But the massage is what I really wanted to try and have you ever heard of a Four Handed Massage? It’s exactly what you read, four hands massage your knots and stress away. I never even thought something like this ever existed! It truly was 50 minutes of pure bliss ($240). My chi never felt so balanced.
I’ve been meaning to start getting facials on a regular basis so why not try one of their signature ones? Their HydraFacial is like getting three facial treatments in one – the exfoliation and resurfacing of Microdermabrasion, a chemical peel and then hydrations and extractions. And Jaclyn made sure to explain every step she was doing. My question is, why aren’t all facials comprised of all these steps as it seems like a no brainer when it comes to covering all the bases. Choose from 60 minutes for $200 face only or the same amount of time for the face, neck and chest for $225. The neck and chest are sooo important as they show the age too so don’t forget them when getting any treatment.
The Argyle Salon & Spa is located inside the Sunset Tower Hotel, 8358 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069. 310-623-9000. See more about their services on their website – argylela.com.
These services were gratis in exchange for my review.
I’m really feeling the colors inside AMWAY’s Artistry Escape to Paradise Cheek and Eye Palette in Crystal Glacier Cool Palette from the Fall Collection and I think they’re perfect for an evening look. The colors blend beautifully and if there was one palette to have in your collection, I’d say right now this one is it. And this compact comes in a velvet case with three quality mini-brushes, so you can apply on the go.

I figure the best way to highlight some of the fall products that are coming out/out already, I’d break it down by part, so let’s focus on the lips in this feature.
I think MAKE UP FOR EVER took a while to get on the “this lippie ain’t coming off until I take it off” bandwagon but they are officially on board with their new Aqua Rouge. It’s one of those color on one side and glossy-gloss on the other that lasts and lasts and last and I loved the two colors I tried shown here, #8 Iconic Red and #14 Light Rosewood.
