Review+Swatches - Kanebo Sensai Designing Duo Bronzing Powder
So I brought up bronzers yesterday and I admit I used to be quite scared of them and avoided them for quite a few years. It’s hard to know exactly what to look for in a good one but at the end of the day, it all comes down to what kind of look you are going after.
Kanebo Sensai Designing Duo Bronzing Powder
One trait this next one brought up was, when it comes to bronzer, shimmer or no shimmer? I have long liked no shimmer but this one has given me some experience with a shimmer version. KANEBO Sensai Collection Designing Duo Bronze Powder ($45 @ amazon.com) is more luxurious than your average bronzers. It contains pearl particles, Koishimaru Silk Extracts, which is used for its moisturizing properties, macadamia nut oil, rice extract, among others.
They suggest two different ways to wear this –
Veiling Technique – blend the colors of the compact together and sweep across the face like a regular bronzer, kind of like what you would do with this one. Surprisingly, it this effect did not make my face all shimmery-like. Instead it just added a slight luminous glow, which is why the swatch photo came out like there is nothing in it. This is a have to see to get it type of product.
The other technique is the Brightening Technique, which is using just the golden side of the powder, buff it into the cheekbones and décolletage.
And the powder itself looks quite beautiful in the compact, with its slight gradation from left to right and it comes with a brush that tucks neatly inside.
