Review+Swatches - Butter London S/S 12 Nail Lacquer Collection

Let’s check into Spring/Summer with BUTTER LONDON Nail Lacquer’s new collection that just came out. I’ve been out of touch with the 3FREE brand for a few so I didn’t know that they had finally changed the way the cap is. It used to not pop off to reveal the round top you hold to apply the polish. So much easier and I did point this out in one of the last features I did on the brand.

Anyway, this current collection is popping with bright colors and softer opaques. The two I tried here were so up my alley, it was creepy, and I can’t even decide which is my favorite.

Wanna see swatches and close ups? How about some really cool new nail art that's easy to use? Click after the pic!

Butter-London-Nail-Lacquer-Disco-Biscuit-swatchDisco Biscuit – Tropical hot pink with an undercurrent of tiny iridescent glitter particles.

Butter-London-Nail-Lacquer-Slapper-swatchSlapper – A truly teal lacquer, bold and very bright. Reminds me of an eye shadow I saw on Nicki Minaj recently that I’ve been trying to track down.

$14 @ kohls.com.

And speaking of nails, how about adding an accent like some 3D art from POPGRRL Nail Charms? This one I tried was from the Sweet Tooth set, which has dessert items on the stick-on nails. I may not like dessert-smelling products but on my nails? I think I’m down! Like a piece of cake or a Homer-esque donut or even some colorful sprinkles. Because these are for kids 6+ they come with a ready-to-wear sticky inside each nail. I was able to remove the sticky with tweezers and use glue so it wore longer and more snug. So fun! $6-$7 a pack @ amazon.com.

Hi. This is interesting. I have been seein all the new nail colors but did not realize the texture that had been put into the mix. I wear contacts and think that the extra texture would be cumbersome and inconvenient, esp. some of the activities I participate in....gardening, for example. I'd like to hear from folks who have had some experience with it.

Neat product...thanks for the review.
