I will sing this until I’m blue in the face. Makeup brushes make a great gift! I don’t think it’s something we normally buy ourselves as some can be an investment but good ones are a must for great application. And it’s nice to know that the user will think of you every time they use one. One set I am really loving right now is SIGMA’s Synthetic Precision Kit. Each of these is an essential when it comes to getting the most of your eye look. It includes the following: Precision Flat, Precision Round, Precision Angled, Precision Tapered. Big recommendation. $49 @ sigmabeauty.com.
And also be sure to check out their Synthetic Kabuki Kit for essentials for the face.

I never thought of myself as a Trésor girl as in LANCOME Trésor fragrance but they just came out with Trésor Midnight Rose scent and I’m really into it. Top Notes: Raspberry, Black currant bud absolute. Middle Notes: Rose absolute, jasmine. Base Notes: Vanilla, musk.
And this season, you can always find fragrance deal gift sets like this Tresor Midnight Rose Moments Gift Set - $58.50/1.7oz bottle and a full-size Hypnôse Custom Volume Mascara in Black. If you don’t pick up one for someone on your list, at least get this for you! Pick it up @ sephora.com.

Remember when razor companies used to tell us that razors were good for one use? I don’t know anyone who used to abide by that! Then came this one, which showed they were listening to consumers and pretty much said, “ok, use it over and over. It’s still good.” But when do you think it’s time to change out your razorblade? And what about all that waste? Enter the RAZORPIT. This Razor Blade Sharpener sharpens your razor blades up to 150 times and it works with all the major brands (their homepage lists them).
So how do I know it works? Well, it's hard to tell exactly. While it worked fine for me and I wanted to bring it to your attention, I think the real test is for a man who uses a razor on his face as I think us women can get away with a not-so-sharp-blade for longer than them. Care to step up male readers? TBC...

You know you’ve got a winner on your hands when you can smell the product through the packaging. And this is the case with LUSH’s Angel’s Delight Soap ($5.95/3.5oz @ lush.com). This one has real tangerine oil inside and just a splash of blackcurrent. And this one is just so colorful, which is great for anytime of the year, really.
I was really excited when I read about CHANEL’s new Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks. And I admit my expectations were high when I tried these two colors - #36 La Caline, muted rose shade and #38 La Fascinante, a dark rose. So how did they fair?
The holidays are a good time to pick up something you know the receiver would probably not buy for themselves. I think the NEUTROGENA Microdermabrasion System is good for a, “wow, thanks!” out of the recipient and this one looks pretty impressive and I’m glad the price is too. $19.99 kit + 1 month supply of puffs. $12.99 refill pack 2 month supply of puffs @ target.com.
The holidays are a great time for getting beauty bargains in the form of gift sets and I’m a firm believer in a fragrance as a gift. Yes, scent is always such a personal choice but why you show your bestie how much you do really know her with a latest one from a hip brand? PRADA’s latest Candy Eau de Parfum scent is one that seems to getting mixed reviews with some people absolutely loving it and others a 180. While I was expecting a concoction of totally sweeter than sweet ingredients, I find the mix of musk on top (musk is usually a base note), Benzoin (vanilla, sweet and powdery) and caramel an interesting mix and it seems to work for me. This one supposedly came about when Miuccia Prada requested a scent with a caramel note inside and it’s for sure not an ingredient I’ve seen much and I like that.
And know that this one is totally wearable for day or eve, which I love!
Hey Prada, how about a roller ball version of this I can tuck into my purse?
