Review+Swatches - Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks

I was really excited when I read about CHANEL’s new Rouge Allure Velvet Lipsticks. And I admit my expectations were high when I tried these two colors -  #36 La Caline, muted rose shade and #38 La Fascinante, a dark rose. So how did they fair?

Both colors are very rich and they both had quite a bit of slip when I rub my lips back and forth. Like that! The finish is velvety, as the name states, and each lasted a good 4 hours on my lips, if I did nothing like drink a sip or water or eat anything. In other words, these are not transfer-proof. I’ve also read a few places that these can be drying on lips but I didn’t experience that with these two. Hmmm…

Would I buy one of these again? Probably only if there was a color I totally had to have as transfer-proof is kind of a big deal in my book these days. $32 @ chanel.com.
