It seems like NYC gets all the good beauty perks but in this case, LA was just invited to the table. The brand’s flagship Los Angeles store opens tomorrow 11/11/11 in the chic and tré hip section of Robertson Blvd across the street from Kitson. The 1,300 square foot MAKE UP FOR EVER Boutique & Training Facility is for the makeup professional, the beauty enthusiast and the everyday girl. And what’s great about it is that you can access all of their products in the store – from the body glitters and foundations to all of their false lashes and of course every single piece of makeup they manufacture. All 1,400 skus! Sephora only carries about 40% or so of the line.

The store itself, which was 95% complete when I visited yesterday, is creatively designed with pink neon signs, black brick and a huge graffiti wall art piece in the back. All the pizzazz a makeup lover relishes.

And on hand to help you out will be their own trained experts helping you pick out product or give you a tutorial in their Video Make Up Lesson Recording Studio. What I liked about this is that you get the lesson and they video tape it for you (a 30 minute lesson and video is $20 and 60 minutes is $35) so you know how to duplicate it at home. And they’ve trained the makeup artists to apply the makeup standing behind you so you can see exactly what they’re doing.

They will also have a Make Up School to give lessons to professionals, a private area for people like me to swatch any and all their products (love that and stay tuned for some mega swatching pieces) and a LA Pro Loft across the street for photo shoots, videos and the like.

One other unique service they will offer is the Smart Board. It’s an interactive touch screen that can be used to create customized make up designs and face charts, which can be emailed directly to the client. Using special pens they can input any of their 1,400 colors into the chart onto the face chart.

To celebrate our grand opening tomorrow, 11/11/11, they’ll be offering 30 minute video make up lessons for only $11 all weekend long from Friday through Sunday. And each day they will be raffling off a custom train case filled with 30 of MAKE UP FOR EVER Creator Dany Sanz’s make up bag essentials worth over $600 (no purchase necessary to enter).
