Diptyque Vetyverios Eau de Toilette

Diptyque-Vetyverio-perfume Sometimes I wonder where my brain is. I mean, since I’ve been doing this site for the past 9 years, I know a lot of brands. I came across two eye shadows from the Tony & Tina line the other day that I still had. Remember that line? But I digress. Take the DIPTYQUE line. Did you know they made other products like body care and personal fragrances? Well I didn’t! I was sent a sample of their Vetyverio Eau de Toilette ($88/1.7oz, $120/3/4oz @ neimanmarcus.com) and wow, what a great summertime fragrance. It’s an overall floral but it is considered unisex.

I can see that on the right guy and I like to wear a scent that sometimes blurs the lines. Who says a woman can only where a fragrance that is fully defined for her? This one is not easy to describe so I’ll just list the notes: mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, bergamot, ylang ylang, Turkish rose, geranium, vetiver, carrot seeds, nutmeg, apricot, clove, cedar and must. The vetiver seems to take center stage and a little woody once it dries down. Very enjoyable.

I remember Tony and Tina! I was so sad when they stopped producing. I think I might still have a few of their things around too.

Hi Meredith - I don't even know the reason they folded. They were pretty ahead of their time in terms of their stance with the line though!
